The investing public have not noticed, or are ignoring, the boycott.
Delta stock up 3% today - which is a big move in exactly the wrong direction.
Coca-Cola is also up - 0.57% - which is a price friendly move up.

It was Easter...
I wouldn’t write too much into this either way without way more data.

This article made me realize what a colossally stupid move Delta made. They are HALF of the massive Atlanta airport, which means that a disproportionate number of passengers live or travel to Georgia compared to other airlines. Unlike ethereal measurements like MLB ratings, people usually have two or three choices of airline when making their $400-$4,000 purchase. They are very exposed right now, with no easy way to walk it back.

After being married to a Delta flight attendant for 24 years, I can tell you, many call in sick on major holidays. Especially ones with kids.

I have been turned away by CEO actions over past couple of years, plus now this. I’ve got lots of frequent flyer mileage to use, but will rethink paid travel.

Delta was my airline.
Note the “was”.
Thanks to that nasty capitalism that leftists hate, there are always competitors.
At least it’ll eliminate having to go through Hotlanta.

Bit of a streach.
Ticket decisions are made in advance.
If I had to guess, there were other factors at play.

None of my family members would fly Delta under any circumstances. And they’ve all vowed to stop using products marketed by Coca Cola. Oh, and MLB? No longer supported by any of my family members.

As much as I wish it was because of the boycott, it is actually pilot shortages. I’m a pilot with another carrier and have friends that fly for delta. When COVID hit Delta encouraged as many pilots as they could to take leaves of absence. Many of their pilots were still in the reserves and took active duty orders with the military. Others took long term leaves and did other jobs, many pilots have side jobs they can turn into full time gigs if needed. Delta was trying to get rid of as many as they could as quick as they could and they did a crappy job of anticipating the resurgence in business that would happen when people started traveling again. They over cut their crew force and now that they need them back many are still on military duty or doing well with their side gifs and unwilling to come back.
It’s Delta’s fault for being shortsighted and trying to get out cheap by screwing their crew force. Poor planning is the cause of their predicament, but it actually is because of a short of crews.
