Citing its financial commitment to the local community and various charities the fact that it was a golf tournament, not a political organization, and affirming that it respects the decisions of a duly-elected Legislature, the PGA Tour said it would not move the Tour Championship.

Regards,

That Texas statement was written by Dan Patrick, our Lt. Governor. He to where he is by (mostly) bypassing the corrupt state GOP. If he’s not careful, he might find himself winning Presidential Primaries in 2024.

“The PGA Tour added, however, that “our intention to stage an event in a particular market should not be construed as indifference to the current conversation around voting rights.”

“The PGA Tour fully supports efforts to protect the right of all Americans to vote and to eliminate any barriers that may prevent citizens’ voices from being heard and counted,” the statement said. “It is the foundation of our great country and a critical national priority to listen to the concerns about voter suppression — especially from communities of color that have been marginalized in the past — and work together to make voting easier for all citizens.””

Translation: They’re going to cave, in some way. Trying to find the right weasel words to appease.

“I fully support efforts to protect the right of all golf fans to attend the Masters and all PGA tournaments and to eliminate any barriers that may prevent that. No entry fees, no tickets, no gates, no fences, no security.”

Call her what you will, but I will be very much surprised if she (Abrams) is not Harris’s choice for VP when she takes over the big chair from Sleepy Joe. Not only for delivering the fraudulent election results and two Senate seats (which would certainly be enough reason) but the left LOVES her. That’s why they propped her up as “real governor of GA” after her defeat and why they heap praise on her as the only one in the same orbit as Obama when it comes to “articulateness”. She checks all the identity politics boxes, although I’m not sure “Fat” is a protected class, yet.

This is one of those times where it is enjoyable to download a copy of the bill to your phone, and then when you meet an idiot who swallows the media crap, email the bill to thwm and have them show you the part that is “racist” or objectionable.

I have yet to find someone who can in these cases, and I started this many moons ago with Pence’s Religious Protection Law in Indiana.

It also weeds a lot of idiots away from me.

How bout just ban all of the woke companies from advertising. Then ban the leftist media and their ilk from even entering the parking lot.

Use it against them.

When prior generations of wokescolds tried to bully Augusta National into admitting black and female members, Augusta National didn’t just stand their ground, but they bought all the TV ads for those tournaments with their own money instead of allowing advertisers to pull out and cancel the tournament. It wasn’t that looks ng ago that those things happened. We’ll see if they still have backbone, they probably stand to risk more by backing down and losing the dues from their wealthy members than they do from the short term outrage machine, which will certainly move on in a week or so to the next crisis.

I would have preferred they just say "We believe in voting law integrity and are keeping the event in Georgia." Instead they wrote a long and watered down somewhat mealy-mouthed social justice defense...
"The Tour Championship's commitment to East Lake has helped our partners transform distressed neighborhoods into healthy and thriving ones, which is a key to ending the cycle of intergenerational poverty. The charitable and economic benefits that have led to these substantial changes would not continue if we simply walked away from those in need. Our intention to stage an event in a particular market should not be construed as indifference to the current conversation around voting rights."

"The PGA Tour fully supports efforts to protect the right of all Americans to vote and to eliminate any barriers that may prevent citizens' voices from being heard and counted. It is the foundation of our great country and a critical national priority to listen to the concerns about voter suppression -- especially from communities of color that have been marginalized in the past -- and work together to make voting easier for all citizens."

NO. Voting should NOT be "easy." Make it hard so only those who care and are informed will vote. I HATE this popular notion that it should be "easy." Just pre-vote Dem the day every baby that is born henceforth. Nothing could be easier than that. You wouldn't have to think about a thing because all of your votes in your entire life have been pre-cast.

What could be "easier" than that?

“ Professional sports need to be brought down a few pegs.”

They are doing a bang-up job of bringing themselves down enough pegs that they are making a bee-line to Hell.

Thankfully the PGA has nothing to do with The Masters.

A few year ago, a group of dykes wanted to open Augusta CC to women and the club declined so the women put pressure on the sponsors of the Masters on TV.

The club responded by, sponsoring it themselves, using only members money {of which there is an unlimited supply}.

The club later took women members, but not because of the pressure from the bimbos.

Another reason I love golf.

It is the only sport that at my age, and with handicaps, I can still compete with people my grandsons age, and his 4 iron is 30 yards past my driver.
