Former professional basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said Friday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that Major League Baseball moving the All-Star Game from Atlanta, GA following the passage of a new voter law “means something to everybody.”
Melber asked, “Kareem, what does it mean for Major League Baseball to take a stand like this right now?”
Abdul-Jabbar said, “I think it’s very significant, Ari, because it shows that this means something to everybody. This is something that we all want to see end. Voter suppression is not what democracy is about. We all want to see it end. By Major League Baseball making a statement like that, they show that they are concerned and that the people — that so many of their players are people of color, they’re probably worried about it also.”

Don't you have a compost pile that needs turning? A garden needing tending?
Seriously: I hope you're being sarcastic.
Regards,
Wherever it is moved to, President Trump should buy the two sections behind home plate and gift the tickets and a MAGA hat to local followers.
Another idiot heard from...
That is a heavy perhaps unfair charge, but bear in mind this political weaponization of MLB was spurred on by a public statement from Joe Biden.
It would be logical then to say that we all, including our government reps are now chargeable with knowing that Biden and his handlers are capable of attacking in plain sight any of America's non-political cultural features.
Taxpayer subsidized businesses are aligning with the thieving Democrat Party to enshrine their fraudulent techniques.
Other than his role in Airplane, the guy is pretty damn useless, but as to this:
“Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Praises MLB Moving All-Star Game: ‘This Means Something to Everybody’”
Actually, I certainly agree with him.
It is certainly unlike anything in my lifetime, or that I have heard of from anyone else older I know.
I no longer:
Watch any sports
Befriend any blacks
Talk to any women at work
Talk to any Millennials at all
It seems to me that some type of violent actions will come from all of this. I don’t think there’s a return to normalcy/decency.
Yes, they should have expected that the law would provoke this backlash.
Dumb mooselimb black dude.
I support all corporations boycotting and moving out of Atlanta. White liberals should punish black residents for this outrage!
Starve the beast.

Kareem who?
How the he** is it voter suppression to expand early voting, continue mail in voting boxes, and require photo ID< which the state gives away for free? Any Georgian who wants to vote can vote, no one is standing in their way.
If I was a Major Leaque Baseball Player right now I would be VERY angry at the Commissioner of Baseball.
I would be saying to myself ....”Why in the hell don’t we just mind our own fn business?!
And that business is to PLAY BASEBALL!
Should have expected? No, it was appropriate legislation as along the lines of 2+2=4.
Should have reacted? Absolutely, and immediately - either upon evidence of a prospective boycott or upon Biden's urging of a boycott.
They could have supported and joined with the major employers in a drive to explain the legislation to the community and the companies could have contributed resources to provide election-related services and benefits.
They could have emerged, perhaps as the first, as effective leaders in opposition to the challenges presented by an obviously radical Biden/Harris admin.
As it is, by submitting to coercion those employers have disappointed a large segment of their employees with their management style, especially those who are baseball fans, and likely have otherwise created stress within the employee ranks.

WHY in the heck would I ever want to do that? Absolutely NO interest in that. Don’t garden, fish, hunt, camp, hike etc etc. No interest at all in outdoor activities.
But The Mighty Dragon Lew Alcindor can pontificate from atop his giant pile of gold and jewels...
Screw yew, Lew.
