Acceptable Forms of ID for iPhone Purchases
Guess apple doesn't want blacks to have access to iPhones.
If you went and did the demographics of the I-phone community...more than 90-percent of users are making $50k or more a year. I’d also take a guess that 75-percent have a degree, and it’s more of a status thing than anything else.
I’m not a I-phone user (never have been), and generally consider the LG and Samsung products of equal or better quality (at least for the price paid).
Seriously? They require id?
No. With three kids and a Wife, I’ve bought probably more than two-dozen iPhones, almost all from Apple stores, and no one has ever asked to see my ID.
I’ve also bought a lot of Apple products and never got asked for an ID. I just pay my money and go.
Looking at the link the OP provided, I think this may be something they do for ‘carrier upgrades.’ That’s when you essentially charge your phone to your carrier, something I’ve never done. So, perhaps in that instance, they do require you to prove that you’re the carrier account holder, which doesn’t seem unreasonable, I guess.
“... it’s more of a status thing than anything else.”
Not for me. I know my opinion is just that, but I like the user friendly aspects of Apple products. Plus my company provides my tech, iPad Pro and Apple phones.
I find having to use MicroSatan products a nightmare. Word and Excel are stupid complex and make using them harder than necessary. Plus rather than leaving commonly used features alone MS changes the complexion of the desktop from time to time requiring me extra effort to re-familiarize the desktop in order to do my job. I hate that.
As far as non-Apple phones go, I have never had one. My kids and grandkids use non-Apple phones and I haven’t seen one of them yet that would sway me away from my iPhone. It certainly is fun when they all come over and gang up on me for being an Apple acolyte hahaha. They always loose the game when it comes to all the updates and security patches that come with non-Apple products.
One explanation for Apple management's logical disconnect is that they must figure that if a "black" can afford an iphone they must possess the intelligence to be able to obtain an ID which provides them the privilege to buy an Apple iphone as well as to vote. Whereas all other "blacks" -- you know, those who Apple management thinks are simply too stupid and/or too lazy to figure out how to obtain an ID -- will be denied, under the new Georgia law, the opportunity to vote which would be unfair and unjust because, well, because Apple management thinks it is unfair and unjust), but who will also be denied, under Apple's policy, the privilege to purchase an Apple iphone (which is fair and just because, well, because Apple management deems it fair and just).
I expect most "blacks" disagree with Apple management's low opinion of them ... as a group (as everything the Left thinks, says and does is "group-based".)
Android is a laughably insecure OS. Three’s a reason why you never hear the FBI complaining about not being able to unlock an Android phone.
That’s why a lot of people and companies prefer iOS over Android.
I finally bought a new iPhone a few months back at a Verizon store and was not asked for ID.
Aside — the old iPhone 6+ was about five or six years old and still working fine even with the latest IOS.
Apple doesn’t require a ID to by an IPhone
They didn’t ask for my id to get vaccinated which is why the name on my card doesn’t match my ID

Did you even follow the link that brings you directly to the APPLE website that says you do in fact need an id?
https://www.apple.com/shop/browse/home/formsofid
It is fake because as I posted the Apple text in its entirety, they DO NOT require a federal government ID.
Yes you need an ID to buy and use a Google phone also; you need an ID for almost anything requiring the use of a credit card.
This is not new; you are making a big deal about nothing - so fake news by an obvious apple hater.
So apple is posting fake information on their website? why would they do that?
Your posting implies fake Apple information and made it a big deal, which it is not - your apple hatred knows no bounds.
