The Georgia state House passed an amendment Wednesday that would strip Delta Air Lines of a multimillion-dollar tax break after the company blasted the state’s new election laws.
Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed into law last week a bill overhauling his state’s election procedures designed to increase security and address issues that surrounded the 2020 election. Delta initially supported key measures of the legislation after it was signed, then backtracked days later amid calls for boycotts pushed by left-wing publications.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian said the new election law “does not match Delta’s values.” Republicans in the state House, angered by Bastian’s sudden flip on the election overhaul, hit back at the company by voting to strip it of a jet fuel tax break worth over $35 million a year, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

That ship has sailed. Since we have blurred the lines between what is government and what is "private" industry, it's time we started punching back with Democrat tactics.
People who won't fight because of "muh principles" will be replaced by people who will fight in whatever manner the enemy can be hurt.

That doesn’t make it ‘punishment’. If my dad were giving me $10,000 a month and decided, for whatever reason, to stop giving me the money - he is NOT punishing me - and if I see it as punishment, that’s my problem not his...he has every right to stop the payments, for any reason.
People here are SICK of public money being handed to corporations, whether here or for stadiums, so that’s why we’re applauding.
Delta will just raise their prices and get less customers. Sucks to be them.
Go after Major League Baseball too. The Braves moved from Boston to Milwaukee to Atlanta. They can move somewhere else if they don’t like it.

I suspect you are right. Trump fights like a Democrat and does not let people run over him just because of some principle about fighting fair.
We don't need to fight fair anymore. We need to fight dirty. We'll resume being fair when the other side decides to be fair.

Last time I flew on a Delta cattle car to Atlanta I had to show a photo ID.
I’ll bet Mr. Bastian wished he had never said that...I bet he wishes he had just stuck to flying....Fire Mr. Bastian, what on earth does he expect by pulling Delta into the political arena?!
I think it will have a beneficial effect even if the Senate doesn't approve it.
It's awakened "woke" companies to the perils of poking their nose into politics instead of running their businesses.
Delta may dodge a bullet on this, but I daresay they will shut their f***ing mouths the next time around, and other companies will be given pause.
There needs to be penalties for businesses that attempt to intrude in politics. All the big tech companies need to be hammered to a pulp by the force of law.
