Derek Chauvin, Human Sacrifice
Ann Coulter Dot Com ^ | 31 Mar 2021 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 03/31/2021 6:21:24 PM PDT by Rummyfan

In modern America, we periodically offer up white men as human sacrifices to the PC gods. Among our benefactions: Jake Gardner, Kyle Rittenhouse, Darren Wilson, the Duke lacrosse players, University of Virginia fraternity members, Stacey Koon and Mark Fuhrman.

The rest of us just keep our heads down and pray we won’t be next.

At least the Duke and UVA human offerings were sufficiently upper-crust to have a few journalists and lawyers defending them. But policemen, bar owners, military veterans and a Midwest teenager? Definitely not our crowd, darling.

Currently, Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is on trial for killing George Floyd by kneeling on his neck, as it appeared in cellphone videos. You may remember something about this: It’s why America had to burn in 2020.

But the chief medical examiner’s report establishes that, however else Floyd died, it wasn’t from Chauvin’s knee. Oopsie! I guess it wasn’t absolutely essential that our country go through eight months of looting, riots and mostly peaceful arsons.

In lieu of citing some B.S. media “fact check,” I shall quote directly from the autopsy report by the Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner, Andrew Baker:

“No life-threatening injuries identified —

“A. No facial, oral mucosal, or conjunctival petechiae

“B. No injuries of anterior muscles of neck or laryngeal structures

“C. No scalp soft tissue, skull, or brain injuries

“D. No chest wall soft tissue injuries, rib fractures (other than a single rib fracture from CPR), vertebral column injuries, or visceral injuries

Couldn't his lawyers obtained a change of venue at the least?

Bad timing...this trial beginning in the week when Christians worldwide remember the cry for blood “give us Barabbas!”

They tried and it was turned down. I think he’ll be found guilty because he seems unlikable. That plays with jury.

The entire case is a farce. The prosecution's case is so pathetic that it should have been thrown out immediately. If this was about justice and the merits of the evidence then there wouldn't have even been indictments.

Unfortunately for Chauvin his fate will be determined most likely based on prejudice. This "legal system" is a sick joke.

Ann of 2021 is like that person in your row on a plane ride.
She has the aisle seat and wants to keep talking, keep complaining about anything under the sun. You have
the window seat and want to take a nap. She won’t take the hint to shut up.

Fluid (a result of his having a high drug [F] content) was building in Floyd’s lungs, but Chauvin could not see nor detect that.

On the other hand, Chauvin had a duty and responsibility as an arresting officer, to attend to the safety - including heatlh - of the person arrested.

Chauvin neglected to respond in a timely manner, to render first aid to two observed medical problems:

- Floyd stopped breathing
- Floyd’s loss of body fluid (urine)

Chauvin’s misstep, started at the moment one of his fellow officers observed those medical problems.

The delay, by Chauvin, is enough to prove negligence - sometimes, in some juror’s minds.

Alan Dershowitz was correct from the start: This is a negligence case.

I like the analogy of human sacrifice. For many, it is apt.

for most, Kipling's poem is appropriate.

I have modified it a bit: Paying Progressive Dane-Geld, with Apologies to Rudyard Kipling:

It is always a temptation to an entitled population
To call upon a neighbour and to say: —
“We rioted last night—we are quite prepared to fight,
Unless you pay us cash to go away.”

And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
And the people who ask it explain
That you’ve only to pay ‘em the Dane-geld
And then you’ll get rid of the Dane!

It is always a temptation,  with Orwellian dictation,
To puff and look important and to say: —
“You are oppressed. White men caused this mess.
We will pay you public cash to go away.”

And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we’ve proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.

It is wrong to put temptation to a youthful population,
For fear they should succumb and go astray;
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
You will find it better policy to say: —

“We never pay any-one Dane-geld,
No matter how trifling the cost;
For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
And the nation that pays it is lost!”

The sacrifice will not be sufficient to appease the crowd. Nor is any concession ever enough.

It is total war and will not over so easily.

I’m not beholden to Trump.

I recall nothing about Tea Party. And frankly we need to stop “cancelling” people based on one thing. FR regularly demonstrates this long before the leftist crack-down this year.

The thing that irritates me most is her redesigned artsy-fartsy website. It uses a sans serif typeface so small that I can’t read it on my Android phone. (Not missing much anymore...)
