I guess you’re in the “It’s the seriousness of the charge, not whether it’s true” crowd. Maybe...just maybe... it would be wise to await ACTUAL DOCUMENTED FACTS? But that’s just me.
Is it blackmail, or extortion? Where is evidence the New York Times is telling the truth?
In my early life, I ran for state elected office. I won. But during the election, someone who supported my opponent passed out a flyer stating that I had been involved sexually with underage girls and that I had impregnated an underage “black” girl. It was all bogus and false. So you cannot say it’s hard to “blackmail folks who don’t have skeletons in their closets.” I had no such skeletons. But that did not stop them from making the claims. If we have learned anything, we have learned that the Democrats will tell any lie they want because they know they will get covered. Remember the lie Harry Reid told about Mittens? That he had not paid taxes for years and years. It was a out and out lie. Reid even later admitted such but said “it worked” and Obama won. They do not care. So, any Republican that will stand up and be a force against the Dems will be lied about. One does not have to have skeletons for them to make crap up.
And when I ran for re-election, I was approached with a “blackmail” attempt that if I would withdraw from the race, a bogus claim would not be released, but if I stayed in the race, it would be released. I stayed in...nothing was released because it was all a lie.
Have you pondered the fact that if Gaetz was really guilty, then he might have actually tried to cut a deal with the extortioner instead of going to the justice department with the blackmail story? The same justice department that the blackmailer claimed was investigating Gaetz?
Gaetz categorically denied the allegations. It think it’s utter BS. But some filthy dems were trying to make money.
Notice that no girl has been named. In today's environment, accusations can be made up out of thin air, and the media will run with it, if it's about a Republican.
