A new bill that would phase out the sale of new gas-powered small off-road engines (SORE) by 2024 was introduced in the Assembly Monday.

There are people who want to ban use of gas-powered weed whackers and blowers here in Atlanta. These are people who probably haven’t done their own lawn care in a decade.
What about diesel engines?
Disgusting. They are rolling back years of progress. CA is going to freeze in the dark.
Yep just last year bought a gas powered lawnmower, Trimmer. Chain saw and powerwash. They work great.
Also people who want to ban gas-powered vehicles—totally.
HUH? I thought they ‘farmed’ out menial tasks such as that. Only racis’ drive pick up trucks too so there’s that.
Convert to producer gas!
It starts in CA and then a few other lib states adopt it. It forces the manufacturers to change things to something that doesn’t work as well and that almost always cost us more. And, in the end, usually aren’t anymore environmentally friendly.
The EPA gas cans come to mind.

Well guess I will need to buy some cows because, for me, 5.5 acres is going to be difficult to mow with an electric lawn mower....but wait cows cause global warming, they need to be banned too, or maybe just put mufflers on all cows to process the methane they produce. And let’s put a tax on beef and steaks to discourage those nasty meat eaters from raising the cows, then another tax for the tall grass that will grow because we can’t mow it or have cows.
Out in the west you used to be able to by a retro kit for the cans at Tractor Supply. Other than that, you have to buy the old ones at garage sales.
The EPA gas cans come to mind.
My steel can rusted out (ethanol).
The PC replacement has a valved spout that points upward
assuring it’ll collect rainwater. In use, the valve leaks
spreading gas all over the fuel tank.
Not to worry...the California Assembly will mandate that all new “green” power lawnmower will come with their own portable wind turbine.
Just get goats - they eat everything ...
