Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D.-Mich.) is criticizing the COVID-19 relief measure which is providing $1,400 per resident of the United States with incomes under $75,000.
The $1,400 payment begins phasing out for people whose incomes exceed $75,000.

Instead, Tlaib wants the government to give people monthly payments of $2,000 “every month.”
“One time survival checks don’t cut it when the bills haven’t stopped coming in every month,” Tlaib said in a tweet that she has pinned at the top of her Twitter page.
“We need monthly, recurring, $2,000 survival checks,” Tlaib said.
Under the American Rescue Plan Act, which President Joe Biden signed into law on March 11, residents of the United States are getting $1,400 one-time payments for themselves, plus $1,400 payments for each dependent they have.

Generous she is...with our money.
Notice she said ‘residents’ not citizens.
Yeah, but how do we survive Tlaib? Hmmm?
Or Omar?
Only 8 trillion a year. Why not? They’ll spend that much anyway.
I call on government to GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY with taxes and regulation so I CAN EARN $5,000/month with some of that all important Dignity and Self-Respect still in tact!!!!
She can sniff my butt. The government’s hand is already too much into my middle class pocket.
Socialism works until it runs out of other people’s money.
And a system like ours goes on until the people figure out they can vote themselves the treasury.
Alexander Fraser Tytler quote————
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”
...while we're importing thousands of unskilled laborers into this country every day
If you hated this country and wanted to end it but didn't have access to a strategic air force or blue water navy, this is exactly how you would do it.
It’s so wonderful how the Hart–Celler Act allowed these people to come here. America just was open enough before then. Sarcasm.
That's good of you since that's the slave days reparations deduction coming soon. But what are you going to do for your second or third job for money for house, health, car,gas and food?
This genius is a lawyer ... just sayin’.
She's right, there, but, this is just the next step to getting everyone used to a free minimum income. Under gov't control.
Fek her.
Can I get that plus my SS?-)
It’s a call for Universal Basic Income for those earning under $75,000.
Instead I’d like to see people who want that money offered a public works job helping build back better our infrastructure. Then they’ll walk away with skills too.
It is time to recreate a PWA again.
“The danger to America is not Rashida Tlaib or Ilhan Omar or AOC, but a citizenry capable of entrusting people like these with power over their lives.
It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an the Squad than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such people in Congress.
The problem is much deeper and far more serious than the members of the Squad, who are mere symptoms of what ails America. Blaming the prince and princesses of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made them their rulers.
The republic can survive the members of the Squad, who are, after all, merely fools. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made them their legislators in Congress.
Bitch might like that.
Does that include white citizens? Probably not.
Do we cut off all other disability and welfare programs? No means testing? Fine with me.
