Gov. Gavin Newsom has appointed Assemblyman Rob Bonta to be California's next attorney general and fill the seat vacated by Xavier Becerra.
If approved, Assemblyman Rob Bonta of Oakland will be the state's first Filipino attorney general. Becerra's post was vacated after he was recently confirmed as the U.S. Health and Human Services secretary.

It really doesn’t matter one’s heritage, ethnic background, theistic beliefs, with whom they sleep in a bed, etc. As long as they are Americans and cherish American values.
Every country has their share of ethnic or cultural or religious groups. They accept them in their own way. Only in the West is it considered some kind of virtue worthy of a press release. And only in America is it a factor/consideration for promotion to an elevated position. Merit is a white supremacist concept.

The key is who defines such “groups”. It used to be there were Irish, Frenchmen, Germans, Poles, Jews, Spaniards, etc. Now they are all grouped into white.
I’d venture a guess that people who are not in a group define all the other groups in order to create a group of their own. Or, if that is incorrect, then each group defines all the other groups how they see fit by majority vote.
