Who Benefited from the Canceling of Congress's 2020 Election Probe?

President Donald J. Trump and his millions of supporters had high hopes for the process that was about to begin on January 6, 2021 in the Capitol Building.

Starting at 1 P.M. that day and continuing over the next 12 to 16 hours in front of millions of viewers worldwide, Congress would begin an extensive examination of evidence presented by Trump's congressional allies of voter irregularities in the battleground states of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Nevada that they believed cost Trump the election.

A cornucopia of statistical data, video clips, and affidavits gathered by pro-Trump investigators would show that in these battleground states, tens of thousands of people voted more than once, thousands of non-residents cast ballots, and states sent multiple absentee ballots to individual voters at the same address.

Importantly, the presenters would show how the use of untested voting techniques such as mass mail-in balloting and unsupervised signature-matching contributed to these abuses.

Moreover, the global audience would learn that state attorneys general, governors, and state courts, not state legislatures, instituted these changes to voting laws, in clear violation of Article 1, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution.

Trump's team believed that this evidence would pressure Congress to consider setting aside these electoral slates supposedly won by Biden.

Even if the Democrat-dominated Congress ignored the evidence and certified Biden's victory, the exercise would likely generate significant national public support for passage of election integrity laws that limit mail-in voting and mandate voter identification.

Trump and his congressional allies had the political winds at their backs. By December, a large plurality of Americans had been exposed to enough information about 2020 voter irregularities to be convinced that election fraud had placed Joe Biden in the White House.

I remember thinking in the weeks leading up to January 6th that it was very dangerous for Trump to be calling for a rally in the capitol, precisely because any violence or destruction of property would be blamed on Trump supporters, and there surely would be leftist activists stirring up trouble.

That rally was a gift to the Dems. Not only did it instantly stop any election fraud investigation, but they milked it for all it was worth and got a second impeachment against Trump.

Nothing can stop what is coming, and I mean nothing. History is full of failed attempts to enslave free people. Sometimes it ends very poorly for those attempting to do the enslavement.

Trump and his congressional allies had the political winds at their backs.

I think that over-states it by quite a lot. By Jan 6, the effort was a very, very long shot. Nobody knew what Pence would do, nobody knew what Pence could do, nobody knew if it would matter in the slightest whether Pence did or did not do anything. That's a pretty thin thread to hang on to.

America needs an independent entity, perhaps a special counsel, to thoroughly investigate the events of that day and hold accountable those government officials and agencies whose actions either intentionally or unwittingly enabled the chaos at the Capitol.

Exactly who is the trustworthy individual is there to make the decision who would be the special counsel, and exactly who is the trustworthy individual to be the special counsel. I would think anyone in Washington, DC or government would have to be excluded.

Trump is pretty smart, but the rally idea was dumb. He underestimated the enemies from within. As a result no evidence was presented as Pence and McConnell shut it down.

Antifa, Navy Seals abs others were allowed inside while Trump WAS ABOUT TO SPEAK.

IOWs the depth of treason runs very deep...

The rally was just one element of an elaborate, legal and Constitutional Sting operation. As were 11/3 and 1/5, and many other aspects of The Steal.

The left saw an election ripe for the taking. They took it. They will reap the whirlwind. This storm coming to them will take out much more than the stolen election(s).

Nobody knew what Pence would do...

President Trump's jaded references to Pence doing the right thing, couching it in concerns that he won't, on 1/6 indicate that Trump knew exactly that Pence was going to peter-out. Just another part of the sting operation... essentially dare Pence to do the right thing. Trump knew he could and would not.

With all the evidence needed for a tribunal, Pence is now going to hell. If he isn't already there.

Hindsight is always 20/20. The parts of the “assault” on the Capitol building were actually assembled pretty haphazardly, and only worked because of the information withheld by the major media outlets, in that the “false flag” swarm that went over the walls and burst into the hallways of the Capitol (with the assistance of the Capitol police) were primarily left-wing activists, Antifa and BLM. Some few of those swept along were actual Trump supporters, and one of those, Ashli Babbitt, was shot and left to bleed out by a person who was identified by some as a Capitol police member, or was dressed as one. The Capitol police officer that died did NOT die of the blows to the head from a fire extinguisher, but of other causes now kept in great secrecy by the authorities.

But none of the crowd whom Trump addressed down by the White House were in the horde that invaded the Capitol building, and nothing, NOTHING that Trump was saying would have incited anybody. The invasion was started perhaps fifteen minutes before Trump ended his rally.

Nothing to see here folks - move along.

People on the right and the left believe in angels.

They believe in bureaucrats and government agencies that are run by angels.

Politicians that have the motivation of angels.

Humanity, that has the morals and ethics of angels.

Or corporate America and its leaders, which are angles.

The first step to making someone into a true conservative, is to get someone to accept the idea that humans are vile creatures willing to do “anything” to one another for no more than greed.

Once they accept that, the idea of some all powerful centralized government run by people, and with that the weakening of peoples individual right to self defense, property, speech, movement, privacy, etc. becomes an obvious problem.

The Left could have never stolen the election without the 'help' of the RINOs. Some RINOs, like Kemp and Rat-boy in GA, actively set out to cheat Trump, but the majority of the 'help' that Dems got was from RINO-controlled legislatures in MI, AZ, PA, and MN who did absolutely nothing to stop the cheat-by-mail-in ballots that were created by non-legislative entities.

Dems do what Dems do -- they are what they are. It is the RINO traitors who sailed to re-election on Trump's coat tails and then stabbed him in the back who I hate with a passion that should only be reserved for the Devil. It is the RINOs that I want to see wiped out in the 2022 primaries.
