Just before authorities released the names of the victims of the Boulder, Colorado shooting, Liz Hanson woke up and got dressed, slipping into a pair of tie-dyed pants she bought at the store of her friend Lonna Bartkowiak.
Moments later she learned that Bartkowiak, 49, had been shot and killed.
“I found out she was gone,” Hanson said in an interview with the Forward . “I looked down at my pants because she had bought them at her store – she picked them out for me.”........Hanson is a member of Congregation Bonai Shalom, where London-native Rabbi Marc Soloway serves as spiritual leader. In the aftermath of Monday’s tragedy, Soloway expressed a similar mix of grief and rage, noting that this mass shooting occurred just days after a District Court judge blocked the City of Boulder from enforcing its two-year-old ban on assault weapons. Your anger is misplaced, Soloway, if it is directed at the judge who was upholding our 2A rights. How about considering that the perp was allegedly on the FIB’s “radar” and was radicalized. Probably the higher-ups at FIB would not take action against the guy because they are too busy tailing “white extremists.” Call Christopher Wray.
I mourn with that community.

I would’ve only guessed maybe 2 were Jews.
Because it wasn’t a “Kosher store”. They sold some Kosher items but a “Kosher store” does not advertise hams for Easter.
It is in a Jewish neighborhood and specialized with more Kosher food than normally you would find in a King Soopers. This is a large grocery store, owned by Kroger.

They are a Kroger store. They were like other stores in areas with a Jewish population in that they had a Kosher section that was expanded for Passover foods. Big money for Kroger to have more Kosher for Passover foods.
The local Costco Store in St. Louis does the same thing.
