Mr. Hunter needs to check Noems record in the House, 2011-2018. Can’t nuance that.
There are still some unanswered questions with the bill. If it were struck down by a court and therefore would not protect girls in high school, then that would be bad. But from what I read, the bill would not be challenged in court, but challenged by unspecified retribution from the NCAA. Then Noem would have to take the NCAA to court, and likely lose.
I don't see that as a putting up a fight, I see it as caving, by risking protections for high school girls for a temporary "reprieve" from the NCAA. I think she made the wrong choice here. I'm not going to judge her solely on this one issue however.
