President Biden’s wince-inducing series of stumbles while boarding Air Force One on Friday calls to mind Gerald Ford’s 1975 fall on the same stairs — a minor tumble that forever tarred him as a clumsy oaf.
Chevy Chase pilloried Ford in a series of ruthless and hilarious “Saturday Night Live” skits — even though the object of his ridicule was just 62 years old, and an ex-University of Michigan football star who avidly skied and golfed.

Duh. The media and Hollywood has always been leftist. It’s just that in the past 4 years they have dropped any pretense of objectivity.
Well he wasn’t a dramatic actor, so based on his success it would seem that the vast majority of people disagree with your opinion.
There was Bob Dole being parodied on SNL in 1996.
Even at 62 and a bum knee, Ford probably could have demolished Chase on the gridiron, and smoked him under the basketball hoop.
Democrats get elected, too.

The problem was that Ford needed glasses, but was too vain to wear them in public unless he really had to.
It should also be noted that in his time, doctors were giving alarms about the deadly Swine Flu that was heading for the US, and as contentious as the post-Watergate congress was, forcing Ford to veto their bad laws more than all previous presidents combined, Ford asked for several billion dollars to combat it.
It went to the House, which immediately voted for it, then sent it to the Senate, that voted for it as well without changes, then was returned to his desk IN ONE DAY.
It was all for nought, as just before it arrived, the Swine flu mutated to a harmless form. Ford was sneered at in the media for this, and he did not care at all. A win is a win.
In February of 1977, at age 13, I had the honor of playing with Misty & Liberty outside of President Ford’s ski Chalet in Vail as my dad had a meeting with him. It was surreal to me after seeing these dogs parodied on SNL as stuffed golden retrievers and Chevy Chase always tripping over them.

President Gerald Ford was like Joe Biden in another way also, he to was never elected as POTUS.
Chevy Chase made a career lampooning the Ford spaz on SNL.
And making fun of the man who saved Spain from Stalinism.
Not to mention that the Enemedia would NEVER roast Xiden, lest their credentials be summarily stripped from them and they are instantly pilloried as ‘conservatives’.
U N L E S S their masters in the DNC (and likely Beijing) order them that it’s time to ridicule him to start the ball rolling to oust him.
There is some karma payback that Chevy Chase has sustained lifetime problems because of his pratfalls.
