I did not call the founders idealists. I called you an idiot for not seeing that the document as written is not what we have today. If it was not “interpreted” and was applied as the strict constructionists believe it should be read, there would be no issues. The founders were prescient and genius and crafted a near perfect document.
If SCOTUS had the document where federal power was limited instead of having one where states rights have been squandered such as with the 17th and the interpretation of the interstate commerce clause as applying to virtually everything and anything, and SCOTUS had the balls to rule on controversial issues applying the founders obvious intent, all would be fine in the world.
Thank you for your post and your link. That helps to understand what the legal team is trying to do. While I do not believe this election was won on fraud (as many on this board claim) and I do not believe Powell’s position in her lawsuits, I do hope all these lawsuits against her go away as no one wants to face multi billion dollar lawsuits.
When I write “classic” when referring to our brown bagged friend, I’m talking about how I find his posts mostly amusing, but usually off the mark.
Sort of like a movie that you think will be interesting but ends up being a dumpster fire of a film.
I find the best approach with the bagged one is to say “hello” once in a great while and leave it at that. Sadly. Trump’s team had his day in court (in many courts) and they lost. It is what it is. Time to move on Bagster.

Everyone knows they were not. At least 5 violated their own laws. Every safeguard against fraud, and to ensure auditability was removed.
So the known and obvious fraud is not provable.
But REPUBLICAN governors and SoS certified known faulty elections and their respective legislatures did jack sh!t. They acquiesced. And in fact issued de facto seal of approval.
So all 50 states named their electors based on what tickles their own special tulip. And when those electors met, Biden won the election among them.
So Biden is the legally elected POTUS.
And it’s because when Republicans were having car rallies and long, erudite discussions about putting commies in jail, hundreds of thousands of those commies were on the ground. Organizing, registering...and harvesting ballots from every known corner of the universe.

'Legal' cannot spring for from illegal. Think of it as kind of a 'fruit of the poisonous tree', kind of thing.
Accepting illegal votes does not make an election legal, valid, or acceptable.
There is no excuse or justification for anyone along the line to have accepted blatant and obvious false results.
