Democrat momentum to abolish the Senate filibuster, which requires 60 votes to end debate and move to a final vote for most items, has picked up in recent months, with proponents charging the increasingly gridlocked Senate will be largely useless unless reforms occur...Trump said Democrats would be free to pursue any radical policy they desire if the filibuster falls. "They’re going to attack the Second Amendment, violently, which I’ve told everybody," He said. "They’re going to attack the Supreme Court.

They can rename the Senate TreasonCity.
Some people say this would never happen. I say the Dems will do anything and everything with power to secure more power.
Benedict Arnold has NOTHING on the corrupt hated Senate
GOP which egregiously FAILED to protect
the ELECTED PRESIDENT; but
instead let the vandals steal all the handles, the babies,
and the ENTIRE COUNTRY.
GOP and McConnell in particular <=== HISTORIC MALIGNANT SCUM
People have no idea just how bad things will get.
Get control of your Senators Mitch before it all comes crashing down on your head
Democrats have been harping through the media about how they can’t send gifts to their voters, unless they get rid of the filibuster. Their voters have one thing in common besides the main source of their incomes (government and global corporations). They all hate men and real, cohesive families.

“So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause.” ...........
Ditch don’t care.
He’s well used to being in the minority and now having gotten rid of Trump will get some CCP payoffs. He’s got 6 years to continue to milk the system for his own benefit.
Get out if you can.
I am not joking. Not being sarcastic. Not kidding.

Agreed. If the filibuster goes, the Democrats will push through “reforms” that will give them a permanent majority. Even court-packing will be on the table.
None of this will bother McConnell and his fellow GOPe types very much. They’ll still have their pensions and their country club memberships. So for them, it’s all good.
Those of us who have studied history have a damned good idea about what is coming down the pike.
There you go.
FRom 2010:
Senate rules require 67 votes to change the rules of the Senate. However, it’s actually quite possible for 50 Senators — if backed by the Vice President — to have elements of existing procedural deemed unconstitutional. The US court system neither will nor should rule on things like the constitutionality of a de facto supermajority rule. But this is precisely why you have a President of the Senate (i.e., a Vice President) and I think it would be perfectly plausible for Joe Biden to say that by specifying supermajority voting for certain purposes (treaties, veto overrides, constitutional amendments) the constitution is clearly assuming majority rule for other purposes. Then it would take a majority of Senators to back up Biden’s ruling. And low and behold, a return to majority rule.

this IS HOW THEY THINK....................
Kentucky should have buried this POS 3 terms ago.
If our fate relies on McConnell, I no longer care what happens. If things become miserable enough, perhaps the dolts will wake up.
Trump attacks the Supreme Court. Whether or not the filibuster stands or fall isn't going to change the fact that the Supreme Court is getting it from all sides.
That explains why the pumps don't work.
