Disturbing video captures Philadelphia transit worker’s assault

Disturbing new video shows the moment a Philadelphia subway worker was badly beaten by a gang of thugs.

The footage of the unprovoked attack Monday, released by Transit Workers Local 234, shows about a dozen young people wearing hoodies chasing down the 55-year-old worker at the 15th Street/City Hall subway station.

The thugs are seen throwing punches at the worker, who falls and is kicked and punched by several of the attackers, the video shows.

Not much info on the perps or victim. I guessing it is probably a copy cat Asian hate crime.

Yes - it is supposed to be. Although of course the Media is not a fair judge. I was in a conversation with some Asians being asked how they feel walking down the street. One was afraid, the other not so much.

I view all strangers as both friend and enemy. We see in the news that violence can come from old or young, black or white, etc. I just try to stay aware and make my judgements on behavior rather than looks.

Their skin certainly didn't look very dark, but there are a lot of light-skinned blacks, like Patrick Mahomes. These kinds of attacks are USUALLY perpetrated by blacks, but I'm reserving judgment.
