New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was surrounded and heckled on Friday night during a vigil held to mourn the victims of the Georgia massage parlor shootings and discourage anti-Asian violence.
The scene came a day after de Blasio had urged people who experienced racist events to report them to the police, even if they didn't rise to the level of a crime that could be prosecuted.
It wasn't clear what people in attendance were demanding of de Blasio, who has spoken out against anti-Asian sentiment and did again at the vigil, which was held at New York's Union Square Park - the site of large Black Lives Matter protests last summer.

Wasn’t it in New York that a couple of Asian-American cops were shot as they sat in their squad car? Whatever became of that? Did Burgermeister Meisterburger speak out against anti-Asian sentiment at that time?

This does make sense. Blacks across America hate Asians, and they attack Asians in every major city. And de Blasio’s white is Black and no doubt she hates Asians also. So he’s not going to stop the Asian hatred for his wife’s sake. And I know the Left is trying to make this narrative a White racist thing. But it’s not, it’s a LW Black issue, Blacks have been attacking, beating up, robbing and killing Asians for years in this country. The Blacks are not going to stop it, and the Left will just promote it and blame it on ‘Whitey’

They haven’t been silent with their votes for the Democrats and generally part of the de-westernizing of our nation that has occurred since 1965.
A basic human need is "purpose" -- a reason for living that is bigger than oneself. Thus, bored senseless from a year of lockdowns, isolation and fear and with growing anger, and having rejected religion and being breathtakingly ignorant of philosophy and history these people living empty lives desperately seek a purpose ... a dangerous condition for a civil society, but a carefully crafted plan by Leftists, communists and Democrats (please forgive the redundancy.)

Asians generally do not protest. I would not be surprised if these “countrywide” protests are populated by the same self hating virtue signaling ignorant whites that you find at environmental, blm, antiwar, lgbqt rallies.
Violence against Asians doesn’t make any sense. People on the right typically admire Asian Americans for their work ethic and commitment to academic excellence.
It figures that the left wants to create a narrative that conservatives are racist against Asians to prevent Asians from joining the conservative movement to elect our candidates. Just as they do for the Latino and black populations.
I wouldn’t put it past the left to set up these events just for that purpose.
