Chauvin Trial Judge OKs Some Evidence From Floyd's 2019 Arrest

The judge overseeing the trial of a former Minneapolis police officer in the death of George Floyd said Friday that he’ll allow the jury to hear some evidence about a prior arrest in which Floyd was found with drugs.

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill partially granted a defense motion to allow evidence of Floyd’s arrest in Minneapolis in May 2019, just over a year before his death.

A lawyer defending former officer Derek Chauvin argued this week that he should be allowed to bring up the arrest in an effort to show jurors that Floyd was partly to blame for his own death. He said there were similarities between both incidents and that the evidence is relevant to the cause of Floyd’s death, which is in dispute.

Agree...and his system was loaded when he died.

And nothing will matter. The only thing that matters to those who "loved" this druggie is $27 million dollars.

Huge Scandinavian population. That’s a culture that is deeply rooted in collectivism. It’s been a very progressive state for a very long time, for that reason, IMO.

Keep in mind that Ilhan Omar’s district - the same district that kept reelecting Muslim socialist Keith Elison is a majority WHITE district.

I agree and I cannot explain it, either.

Yeah, but while collective well-being may be a Scandinavian value, freeloading is not.

If Chauvin is acquitted, Minneapolis will go up in flames, and the riots will be the excuse for reparations.

If Chauvin is found guilty, Minneapolis will go up in flames, and the riots will be the excuse for reparations.

to sum up

Floyd had almost the same reaction in 2019
1) swallowed drugs to hide them during arrest
2) called out to his mama(judge won’t allow that)
3) Medic was so worried Floyd was going to have a stroke or heart attack he took him to the hospital
4) blood pressure taken at the time over 215!

judge said this is evidence of How Floyds body reacts after swallowing drugs

The judge also denied a state expert witness to claim Floyd was having a panic attack rather then a reaction to drugs when he was acting crazy

Judge denied a delay or change of location after the settlement news ...but seems like a slam dunk appeal if needed later

"The judge also denied a state expert witness to claim Floyd was having a panic attack rather then a reaction to drugs when he was acting crazy."

The pathology report says it all. Floyd had over 3 times the amount of Fentanyl to kill a human being, plus smaller amounts of meth, morphine, and THC. One of the symptoms of fentanyl overdose is shortening of breath. He claimed "I can't breath" when first confronted while standing, and he claimed the same when sitting in the police car. No wonder he claimed it on the ground. Floyd killed himself.

Still, I wonder why the cop had his knee on the side of Floyd's neck (not windpipe) for so long. There were plenty of cops standing around that could have cuffed his hands and shackle his legs.

I had a similar experience with an out-of-control Marine when working Shore Patrol, except for the claim of shortening of breath. It took 5 of us to take him down and we had to shackle his legs after he kicked a SP in the head.

We used to see this many times on the Cops show until they cancelled it due to PC.
