The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated K-12 school distancing guidelines to reflect that they can safely reopen while maintaining 3 feet of space between students as long as there is universal mask use. However, in communities where coronavirus transmission is high, the agency recommends middle school and high school students be at least 6 feet apart "if cohorting is not possible."

The teachers unions are incensed, they wanted to use this to achieve their long sought goals of smaller class sizes to half current levels so they could hire more dues payers for the union.

Also, teachers do not want to go back to work, they want to milk the high pay for 2 hrs per day "work" on zoon as children suffer miserably.

Pretty soon, high school kids will be having sex again.

The teachers’ unions will be out for blood to atone for this sacreligious utterance by the CDC. The flies on the unions’ board room walls are hearing it all: “Who do they think they are?” (sanitized version)

I have the pic on my wall....6 ft separation...you don't need a mask.

You only need a mask when you're side by side with someone AND for over 15 minutes.

It's pretty obvious that young people have a special immunity that tempers this Covid...like getting the sniffles but not a full fledged cold.

One of Biden’s biggest contributors, not pleased, not getting their money’s worth. The clearly need another 100 billion from Joe.

It might not matter in CA. CA has a year long history of ignoring the CDC guidance and opting for stricter guidance.

But a new lawsuit in San Diego just got a stay that is valid statewide for a public and private schools that they can ignore CA’s edicts regarding distancing and cohorts. This will have more of an effect than the CDC I think. Some districts are going forward and ignoring.

Not sure if the state is appealing though.

Exposure risk is a function of distance and proximity.

R = D x P

So the air borne virus has decided to stop at 3 feet rather than 6.

Amazing, in NY they are now letting Restaurants stay open a few more hours because the virus is coming out later now.

Here is a FACT to ponder:

Every school district in the country was notified of this announced change a month ago.

It came from the Biden team via political channels.

Regrettably, I can’t post HOW I know this.

But the notifications went out through back, political channels to school district and union leaders a month ago.

The decision was a political one. It was not science based.

Whether you agree with the decision, or not, it’s important to know the origin.

I have family who were teachers, I am aware how the unions send messaging that they would not want on the front page of a newspaper.

I meant “duration”.

Risk = Duration x Proximity

The tyranny continues, and there is no end in sight.
