Putin Responds to Biden Claim He’s a Killer: ‘It Takes One to Know One’

Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to U.S. counterpart Joe Biden’s claim he is a killer at a press conference on Thursday.

“I remember in my childhood, when we argued in the courtyard we used to say: it takes one to know one. And that’s not a coincidence, not just a children’s saying or joke,” Putin said, according to Reuters.

“We always see our own traits in other people and think they are like how we really are. And as a result we assess (a person’s) activities and give assessments,” he said.

“We know each other personally,” Putin said of Biden. “What would I reply to him? I would say: I wish you health. I wish you health. I say that without any irony or joke.”

Putin’s comments come after Biden said, in an interview with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, that the Russian president was a killer and would “pay a price” for meddling in the 2020 election, which had just been revealed in an ODNI report.

“What price must he pay?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“He will pay a price,” Biden said.

Stephanopoulos later asked: “So you know Vladimir Putin, you think he’s a killer?”

“Mmm-hmm, I do,” Biden replied.

Russian diplomats were less indifferent than Putin about those comments from the U.S. president.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking before Putin at Thursday’s press conference, said the comments were unprecedented in history.

“These are really bad remarks by U.S. president. He has clearly shown that he doesn’t want to improve relations with our country,” he said, according to Reuters. “We will now proceed from that.”

In a Facebook post, Konstantin Kosachyov, the deputy chairman of parliament’s upper house, demanded an apology from Biden. He said without an apology, further action would be taken after Russia recalled its ambassador to the U.S.

“...But I think Putin laughs at him and says whatever..”

I think all world leaders are scratching their heads trying to figure how Biden was elected in that he is such a nitwit.

Wow! Just two months in office and Biden has managed to pies off Canada, Mexico, Israel, Saudi Arabia, El Salvador, North Korea and Russia! At least 3 of those countries have nuclear weapons. Not good.

Did Putin really make that remark?
I sure hope he did.
Joe needs to know what his babbled quips and snarky remarks
are getting this country into.

Years ago, Reagan called the Soviets part of the
Evil Empire. The difference between Ronald Reagan and Joe (Mc-Bumbles) Biden, is Reagan had ready examples to explain what he meant, and these ‘dirty deeds’ were not tactics openly used by the United States at that time.

Possibly Option D as well - the Dems are used to spouting off crazy conspiracy theories about Republicans, and then having the media cover for them and social media silence counter arguments. Doesn’t work so easily when you’re dealing with another world leader.

It’s indisputable that Democrats hate Russians.

Hate ‘em.

And we’ll have a period of unnecessary and dangerous confrontation as a result.

It’s a shame.

The US and Russia are natural allies and friends.

“What price must he pay?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“He will pay a price,” Biden said.

Biden sounds like the cowardly school yard bully he has always been. What a drooling failure

I believe if we got a translation solidly into what Putin intended to convey, it would be what we Americans classify as Biden "Projecting" his traits onto Putin.

It probably explains Putin's low key response.

“What would I reply to him? I would say: I wish you health. I wish you health. I say that without any irony or joke.”

What Putin is saying there is that the entire world knows that Biden is mentally unfit for office.

[[

Obviously it is more important for the Democrats to try to add a little legitimacy to his stolen election than]]

Yup exactly. We are gonna have to suffer through his whole illegitimate term with the msm propping hi. Up, covering for him, trying desperately to make him look relevant. Mewnwhkle the whole world sees what they see and are laughing at us or worse, planning to 3xploit his dementia

Prior to ther Bolshevik revolution Russia & the US weren’t hostile toward each other. It was only the constant export of Bolshevik revolution by the USSR regime that we became hostile. It’s a bit of a stretch to say that we were allies.

During the Civil War Russia did station parts of their fleet in East Coast ports - e.g., Port of New Yorl & Port of San Fransico. They did this not becuase they were our buddies but becasue there was a convergance of interests where this was agreeable. We need a show of Naval force to send a message to the UK & France not to intervene on the CSA side. The Russians were contending with France and the UK (mostly UK) over colonial infleunce in Central Asia & the Mediterranean. They needed their fleet dispersed and in warm water ports. Stationing part of the Russian fleet at US habours solved two unrelated problems with overlapping interests.

There is no reason we can’t have a cordial respectful such relationship again. Such a relationship certainly doesn’t require our approvale of their regime anymore then the past relationship required us to approve Czarism.
