It’s not at all obvious. Like all sane people they wanted Trump who didn’t despise them over Hillary who pushes homosexuality, tried to launch a color revolution in 2011, attacked their ally in Syria, and was openly discussing shooting down Russian planes over Syria. But like everyone else, they expected Hillary to win. So they stayed out.
They knew any support for Trump would be spun like it was 1955, and if Hillary won as expected, things would be rough for 8 years.
But what they wanted was Trump, who wanted to stop our war in Syria and support of ISIS and Rebels. Trump wanted trade, deals, and a good relationship. Most of all Trump hated the globalists.
Globalist leaders hate Trump. Putin is a pure nationalist. Men like Putin, the leaders of Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and India all liked him. Intensely nationalist leaders liked Trump.
It's Mexico, but with lots of nukes. That makes all the difference. A honey badger is a pipsqueak next to a lion, but if I were a lion, life would be much easier if I didn't mess too much with the little guy.
Give it a rest sport. You’ve never told us what you did during the Cold War, I was in the military. For some reason you have a personal animus that you’re working out. But you aren’t some kind of cold warrior.

The global war going on right now is nationalism versus globalist communism. Ever noticed that the same people who despise Trump also despise Putin?
You have to notice that, it’s undeniable. Every globalist and every Democrat and establishment Republican in America despises Putin. The only answer you can come up with, is that there some elaborate ruse and they all secretly like Putin, and that Putin is secretly a communist. Instead of living in the world of secrets, open your eyes.
