Democrats blocked a bill sponsored by Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA), which would require the federal government to test all illegal immigrants for coronavirus.
Republicans introduced a motion to block the previous question on a piece of legislation Tuesday tht would allow for the consideration of Miller-Meeks’ legislation, the Requiring Every Alien to Receive a COVID-19 Test (REACT) Act. This bill would mandate that the Homeland Security Department (DHS) test all migrants crossing the border illegally that the DHS releases into the country.
Miller-Meeks’ office noted that, as of March 8th, the federal government released 185 migrants into Brownsville, Texas, who have tested positive for the coronavirus. The Iowa conservative’s office also said that current law does not require the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or Immigration and Customs Enforcement to test illegal immigrants for coronavirus.
The CBP is reportedly encountering more than 3,000 migrants per day, which is approaching the levels of the 2019 border crisis.
Miller-Meeks said on the House floor Tuesday night:
This week, I traveled to El Paso, Texas, to meet with CBP agents and officers. I saw firsthand the crisis they are facing, and I believe it is our job in Congress to address it and assist them. Approximately 50% of agents have tested positive for COVID-19, and very few migrants are being tested. My REACT Act would require that every migrant released from CBP or ICE custody is tested and receives a negative test. Border security and immigration is not an issue that only affects border states, it affects every community across the country. By ensuring that individuals entering the country are negative for COVID-19, we can help keep our communities safe and healthy.

So, here’s a thought for all those reading this: If someone were to tell you that “We’re at war, and the enemy is currently occupying the halls of the national government”, would all of this become more understandable? At lease explain all the double-standards too many on our side keep wasting time complaining about?

The border is out of control, and needs to be brought under control, and/or closed until such time as it is. The People needs to figure out what it takes, and layout actions get it done.

This just begs for many federal and state-level lawsuits against the Biden clique, mainly on “health” issues grounds.
Anyone who gets sick from provable contact with these illegal releases (with COVID) would have “standing” to sue (class actions are better).
The State should sue the federal government and all agencies who have any security and/or health involvement in “public safety”. Dept HomeLand Security, FBI, DH&HS (Health & Human Security), CDC, and committees of Congress who voted for these unsafe entry policies.

I was thinking the same thing. However, population control in a different area. These border jumpers will bring with them a huge supply of opioids into all areas of the country. there were 67,367 drug overdose deaths in 2018. Think what it will be when the drugs are plentiful. Those kids who have not been taught self control will be seduced into the drug habit and go down the road to overdose. That first jab of heroin will be their application for a Darwin Award. Their lack of self control came from poor parenting. It is their offspring that are being culled by the drugs.
In the case of COVID-19 spread, the U.S. House rejected a bill calling for the testing of these border jumpers. What does that mean? They want these infected masses to bring more C-virus infections while the vaccinations are driving the numbers down. Instead of warp speed, we are getting warp thinking. With more Social Security recipients refusing to get the vaccine, you get more deaths making for less spending—just ask Andrew Cuomo. Yes. With warp thinking, population control.
good question. It would have to be a federal court where a person could prove that they got COVID from an illegal, released into the public, alien (WHO WAS NOT TESTED FOR THE VIRUS). Criminal neglect and medical neglect/malfeasance.
Get 12 people and you have a class action lawsuit, complete with doctors testimonies, test results, first person testimonies under oath, etc.
Need to get trustworthy and energetic congressional representatives involved in AMICUS briefs to the court.
