HBO’s Real Time host Bill Maher warned of the rising influence of China globally and in the United States — a concern routinely ignored by Democrats in his own party. China, Maher cautioned, is growing in dominance as America continues to allow cultural issues, such as the political correctness of iconic children’s books, to distract from more pressing issues.
“You’re not going to win the battle for the 21st century if you are a silly people. And Americans are a silly people,” Bill Maher said during his monologue Friday night. “Do you know who doesn’t care that there’s a stereotype of a Chinese man in a Dr. Seuss book? China. All 1.4 billion of them couldn’t give a crouching tiger flying fuck because they’re not a silly people. If anything, they are as serious as a prison fight.”

This isn’t ALL bad.
They believe in coal generated electricity and suppressing Muslims.
These are probably the best remarks Maher has uttered, but remember that Trump had a plan for all of this and Maher wanted the economy to crash to stop Trump's Presidency.
So, he's being disingenuous. But he does nail it here.
“Americans are a silly people.” says Maher. Well, they made him a multi-millionaire. He oughtta know.
Maher is an ass. He is a promoter of leftism in all its forms. I hope the woke revolution comes for him soon.

As someone else pointed out, he and Colbert started woke cancel culture about fifteen years ago. He’s just afraid it’s eventually going to take him out.

I think that this is further evidence that the Democrat Party is a collection of thieves and not socialists.
I’m starting to believe that there are two Bill Mahers. Identical twins, maybe.
The first Bill Maher is an insufferable creep. He turns my stomach. The second Bill Maher is a liberal, but he makes a lot of sense. Today we’re seeing that second guy - and good for him for highlighting the problem. The HBO crowd would be hearing nothing about it otherwise.
Maher is also spot-on when it comes to Muslim extremism. A number of years ago I watched a clip of his show on that topic. His guests were all about making excuses. “Only a small minority of Muslims support the killing of innocents”, etc. Maher would have none of that. He shut them all down hard.
Does he take any responsibility for this?

And you know what is so messed up? He and other shit stains like him is what helped push America over the cliff.
Their liberal tripe that spewed from their mouths and pen during PDJT term has done irreversible harm to this country and there is no fixing it now. America is done, kaput and failed.
Some of us were raising the China alarm 25 years ago when Bill Clinton was giving them our satellite technology and permanently normalizing our trade relations with them.
