San Francisco's Tenderloin District has been a documented home for transgender residents since the 1920s.
"Everyone around me in my life told me that I'd have a better life when I came to San Francisco," co-founder and executive director of the Compton's Transgender Cultural District Aria Said reveals. "So many trans people come here like refugees from other cities in the United States."

Gosh, how funny you should ask that. Apparently men who identify as women have been chased out of lesbian bars. These men are universally hated by lesbians and “feminists* “ alike. I listened to a YouTube segment where a vary angry self-identifying woman raged on that lesbians were discriminating against him because they wouldn’t “hook up” with him.
To add more insanity, it is no longer cool or acceptable to let people know that you are a lesbian. I read an entire article on the subject of the disappearing lesbians which highlighted Ellen DeGeneres’ changing from being a lesbian to something else. (I don’t recall what.) But being a lesbian was no longer acceptable because of the transgender issue. The reasoning in the article as to why this is so was so convoluted and confusing it would have required me to look up the meanings of numerous liberal only words. I decided it wasn’t worth the effort.
* I used to understand what a feminist is. I no longer have a clue what they are or what they stand for. I suspect the self-identifying feminist doesn’t know either.
My friend and beer drinking buddy shocked the world by leaving his wife and children and declaring himself a woman.
He worked as an agent for large national auto insurance company. He kept his job
Sometime years later, she hooked up with a real woman who had several children. By this time, he owned a very successful insurance agency. He set the woman and all her kids up in various businesses. He developed some real estate. He opened an antique mall for very small antique vendors.
The small businesses were big on TV commercials that always included faces of the children and of the “mother in law”. The same people were the subjects in the commercials of several different businesses
Strangely believe it he was a very good businessman(woman) and I suppose developed substantial but not great wealth.
The kind who want to prove that they are liberal. In their world, it is bigoted and non inclusive, to NOT go to drag queen story hour.
