Ybor City (swanky party part of Tampa) just used fines to shut down or punish a bunch of night clubs in the area for face mask violations during club operations.
Lol for the Tampa Leftist code enforcers. All the patrons are young and presumably very healthy. Sick people go to hospital, healthy people get on with life. Just as with every previous pandemic in recorded history. Only the Black Death of the 13th century -which killed over half the population of Europe, had full quarantine. In most places it was run by the Church.

Not in my area of Florida which is Jacksonville, in fact the wife and I went to our favorite Italian Restaurant for lunch and the lady who owns it has had a sign for a few months on the front door that reads, “100% capacity, Masks Optional”....in fact none of the restaurants we frequent have a capacity limit..
Very good indeed! Several months ago, he made all these “orders” without effect. That is, the jurisdictions could give tickets, fines, etc...but they couldn’t collect the fines or enforce any of the penalties. That actually stopped a lot of jurisdictions from bothering.
But this tops it off!
In France they used to have an informal policy (maybe they still do) whenever they swear in a new president, they wiped out all the old outstanding minor fines like parking, traffic tickets etc.
More states should do things like that. New administration, take a little burden off the little guy.
