DENVER (CBS4) – The powerful storm expected to bring historic snowfall to Denver and a large portion of Colorado this weekend has slowed down. The slow pace will contribute to enormous accumulation in many areas starting late Friday night.
The entire I-25 urban corridor from Colorado Springs to Denver to Cheyenne is under a Winter Storm Watch starting at midnight Friday night through midnight Sunday night. The I-70 mountain corridor between Denver and Avon is also under a Winter Storm Watch starting at 5 p.m. Friday.
The highest snow totals in Colorado will be over the higher peaks and mountain passes with at least 36-48 inches of snow possible over Berthoud and Loveland Passes as well the I-70 approaches to the Eisenhower Tunnel.
For much of the Denver metro area, a total of 15 to 25 inches of snow is expected with about half piling up by Saturday night and the remainder falling on Sunday. Even higher amounts are possible in Boulder and Fort Collins with totals reaching near 30 inches in some areas.

It’s amazing how quickly the Climate changed and Globull Warming was eliminated after Xiden cancelled the Keystone Pipeline.
Gore-Bull Warming.
ewwww
Bring it baby.. Nothing warms the cockles of my heart more than making it as harsh and severe for those transplant Californians (and others) who have infested my home state with the liberal crap that exists there today.
Besides, the state needs the moisture.... bad.
MFO
My son is armed with his snow blower and shovels to counterattack as it goes on. The dog needs a potty place.
Don’t you just hate global warming/climate change that happens four times a year?
and yet the National Weather Service forecast model from which ALL LEGITIMATE weather forecasts are derived doesn’t actually forecast the AMOUNT of snow that’s expected at this point, so i can only conclude that the fake stream enemedia is just making up their own forecast numbers:

March in Colorado...probably in the 70s a few days afterward
We’re going to get hammered.
That is why this x-Californian avoided Colorado and other states which have severe winters.☺ Snow and ice sucks, but I do like seeing it on post cards.
Cocktails or shots?

It’s all fake, you want the real weather, just look out the window.
Yep
Unfortunately for me I cannot shovel this time as I am 10 days into post OP rotator cuff surgery.
We usually do my driveway and neighbor’s driveway. Get out early quiet very meditative usually no one else out. I find it calming. Usually on a big one we will have 4 or 5 out with some snowblowers and shovels doing the whole cul de sac.
Winter wheat could use melt off from 5” of snow.
I was living in Highlands Ranch, CO when we had about a 5 foot snow over about 2 days. This was about 2002 IIRC.
Heavy wet snow in late winter. I shoveled every few hours and was able to keep clear the back deck, sidewalk from the front door to driveway and a 24 inch path down the driveway to street. That’s it.
During the middle of the storm, a neighbor 3 houses from me had a medical emergency. A county dump truck snow plow led an ambulance to the house. It was the only way to get in other than a snow machine, snow shoes or skis.
It was 2 days after the storm was over that the HOA contracted snow removal company could get their crew and equipment in to dig us out. If I am ever in a similar circumstances, there’s no way now that I could or would even attempt that much snow shoveling.
Will be good for the August fishing on the Colorado ...
Absolutely. Our Flinthills are dry and need a good dose of H20 before the spring burning commences.
We’re probably going to get some of that. The eastern half of Kansas is under a flood watch along with up to 4 inches of rain and thunderstorms.
Doynds like spring has arrived. Saw crocuses on the neighbors lawn and the trees are about to rupture the leaf shells.
If all we got was 30 days of winter, I’d be very happy.
Those Colorado Blizzards are something else! But if you are in a high spot.. like Raton Pass at sunrise a day after the storm...Oh My! What a memorable view! Those mountains look like a field of strawberry icecreams as far as the eye can see.
