Beth Moore, a popular evangelical Christian and Bible teacher, says she is no longer a Southern Baptist and is parting ways with the denomination's publishing arm.
Moore disclosed her departure during a recent interview with Religion News Service. "I am still a Baptist, but I can no longer identify with Southern Baptists," she told the news agency. "I love so many Southern Baptist people, so many Southern Baptist churches, but I don't identify with some of the things in our heritage that haven't remained in the past."

What’s ironic about this situation is that if Moore had stuck around a couple more years the SBC would have apostatized to her way of thinking. it has more than bent over backwards in recent years to prove its “wokeness.”

Probably because she became/or, came out as a lib, while SBC remained (somewhat) conservative.
I know a SBC that we sometimes attend NEVER denounced PDJT, as Beth Moore (and her lib daughters) have.
She got “woke”.
Wow. . . some good news on FR this morning. It’s time for a giant enema in the SBC. Spiritual cleansing is what is needed. She already drained the educational budgets of many SBC churches with her literature and training material as well as presentations and consulting fees. . .so now she’s on to another denomination.

SBC leaders supported Trump. She has been a critic of his.
Isn’t there more than just Beth Moore’s anti-Trump agenda that led her to leave the SBC or be asked to leave the SBC?
Another proof that one can be smart, even a genius, and be a fool.
She complains about Trump’s treatment of women without giving an example but pledges her life to a religious denomination that considers women beneath men in religious matters.
She might be an adult physically, but mentally she is still an adolescent.
And the alternative to Trump?
Hunter Biden?
Joe Biden?
A dim party that is openly the most anti-God, anti-Christian political party ever in America?
She really needs some help.
If I recall correctly, Jimmy Carter left the Southern Baptists years ago, because they were allegedly too rigid in thinking on women’s issues.
It seems there will always be debate and disagreement over theology, and different interpretations of The Bible. And disagreements about religious theology when theology is contrasted with popular culture, or the political issues of the day.
A LOT of colon cleansing remains to be done in the sbc. JD Greear, Russell Moore and several others. Oh, and the people who voted them in.
Good riddance. She’s never put scripture ahead of her feelings. And now she’s following the $$$$ and the woke crowd. I predict - not that I’m claiming to be a prophet, just someone who has seen this garbage too often - she’ll come out in favor of homosexual marriage within 12 months.
Maybe she’ll start her own version of Liberation Theology.

Moore has been noticeably softening on homosexuality in recent years. I’ll bet the retirement she come all the way out and supports sodomites in all their filthy deeds now that she doesn’t need to hide it.

Amen. Moved a lot in my life and used to look for a SBC church first - then go elsewhere if the SBC church seemed off. But now? After 40 years as mostly a Southern Baptist, I consider the SBC to be a negative sign of spiritual health.
