Former President Donald Trump requested a mail-in ballot ahead of a local municipal election in Florida, according to Palm Beach County records, despite his frequent attacks on voting by mail.
The records from the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections website show the ballot was mailed on Friday to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, which he made his permanent residence in 2019.
Pictures available through Getty Images show Trump was in New York City on Tuesday.
CNN has reached out to representatives for Trump for comment.
The request marks just the latest instance of Trump voting through the same process he repeatedly sought to discredit throughout the 2020 election without evidence. Trump and then-first lady Melania Trump also requested mail-in ballots for Florida’s primary election in August.
In the closing months of his failed reelection bid, Trump claimed that mail-in voting was rife with fraud and an easy target for foreign election interference. Those attacks often took a partisan tinge as Trump had said he believed his party would be hurt by mail-in voting.
“With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA,” Trump tweeted in July. “Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???”

An absentee ballot is not the same process as vote by mail. Absentees are limited and closely inspected, while vote by mail in practice lacks or overwhelms such safeguards.

There is a difference between folks who are already registered requesting an absentee ballot, and the state willy-nilly mailing ballots out to everyone (and further not cleaning up the roles beforehand) who might be registered.
The lie is Trump is against absentee ballots. He is against mailing ballots to everyone without going through the process

To correct my previous post. This is for a local election. Maybe he doesn’t want to have the polling place disturbed by Secret Service etc..and the anti-Trumpers in Florida ue it against him.
We have an established mail-in ballot system in Florida - I’ve used the system for years.
This is NOT the same as corrupt democrat hellholes using a makeshift last-minute voter fraud set up and blaming it on covid.

Poor Jim Acosta is too dumb to know the difference between a requested ballot in a state that verifies signatures and a mass of ballots sent out to everyone with no signature verification, no requirements for ballot collection, no chain of custody. It’s the old “an elephant and a mouse are exactly the same since they are both grey.” excuse.
Still twisting reality. He had an issue with unsolicited ballots mailed to non residents and dead people.
