Central Pennsylvania’s Pride Festival has been canceled again this year, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage communities across the country.
The nonprofit organization, Pride Festival of Central PA, said the event cannot be held due to the “uncertainties” that come with hosting a large-scale event.
“There is no joy in our hearts or voices in making this ugly announcement so early in the year but the enormous amount of planning, work and preparations that go into every festival could not be done sufficiently due to the current COVID-19 public health crisis’ longevity and the mitigation orders issued by Governor Wolf,” the organization said in a statement on Facebook.
“One thing we do know is the massive importance this festival has for so many of you in the LGBT+ community,” the organization said. “It truly breaks our heart to put Pride on hold for another year but the health, safety and well-being of our community, event volunteers and vendors are of paramount importance.”
The organization is instead planning the 2022 event and encouraged people to continue taking preventative actions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

They were so desperate to convince everyone that it wasn’t
a homosexual disease, that they refused to send any signals
implying it just might be.

A quick Google shows this was supposed to be at the end of July. It joins a long list of other Summer events that have been cancelled. Does this actually make any sense when basically everyone in the medium to high risk categories will have had the opportunity to be vaccinated by then?
Announcement sounds funnier if read in a gay lisp sort of way.

That’s funny...the annual fag festival in fag-friendly East Tennessee is on the schedule for September 2021 in Bristol, TN. It was the FIRST festival to be announced as COVID cases started winding down in this region.
