Democrats Vote to Make the 2020 Voting Mess Permanent H.R. 1 would let the feds push the states out of election law.
President Biden signed an executive order designed to increase voter access on Sunday as he pushes the Senate to pass H.R. 1, House Democrats' sweeping voting rights package.
According to the White House, Biden's executive order modernizes Vote.gov, orders federal agencies to expand access to voter registration, provides voting access and education to prisoners in federal custody, examines barriers to citizens with disabilities voting and improves ballot tracking for overseas voters, including active duty military.
Sunday is the anniversary of "Bloody Sunday," when civil rights protesters in Alabama, marching from Selma to Montgomery, were beaten by state troopers, spurring passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
"During this current legislative session, elected officials in 43 states have already introduced over 250 bills to make it harder to vote," Biden said in a video on Sunday. "We cannot let them succeed."
Biden also pushed senators to pass H.R. 1.
"This is a landmark piece of legislation that is urgently needed," he said in Sunday's video. "I hope the Senate does its work so I can sign it into law."
Biden on Thursday celebrated the House passing H.R. 1, saying he would sign it if it passes the Senate.

Such things as: 1. Ban no excuse mail-in voting 2. Must provide citizenship documents in order to register to vote. 3. Periodic re-registration 4. Ban touch screen machine voting 5. Ban same day registration
In other words, whatever the Democrats are proposing in HR 1 should be banned by the States.
Doesn’t this need to go to the Supreme Court?

I thought it did too. Not that I’m expecting any heroics from the John Roberts Supreme Court.
I hope there is some way to at very least, slow it down so more people learn what’s in it.
Once again, the GOP misses an opportunity to speak up, educate and warn the public. Instead, most republicans simply waiting patiently, hands folded on laps, for this monstrosity to become law.

Voter registration is not a federal responsibility and the states can completely ignore this. States may also file suit for Unconstitutional federal interference. Unfortunately, given the makeup of the Federal Judiciary that may be ineffective.

Voter requirements are state run not federal.
Not according to the Roberts' Court ...
Where they are not state run, the constitution says CONGRESS can regulate.
Since those two bodies are specifically listed, this EO is clearly unconstitutional

to be ratified by two thirds of the state’s legislatures.
We can thank the Uniparty (R) for standing aside and allowing their Uniparty (D) and (R) allies to completely gut American elections. The Uniparty (R) hacks on the Supreme Court showed what to expect from them when they took a powder on a stolen presidency. Whether this is passed into law or not the Uniparty (R) will do the same next election. No constitutional right can be allowed to subvert their Uniparty (R) globalists designs.
The states should tell them to go to hell.

The Constitution is clear on this, only states are allowed to enact or alter election law, so this is Unconstitutional as hell and must immediately go to the Supreme Court, that I have little faith there.
The morons stood by and let this happen to get rid of Trump. No different than the meme of a house engulfed in flames because of a spider.
You actually think they'd even hear a case about election law? They already refused to hear cases that consisted of public officials circumventing election laws established by the State Legislatures as decided in the Court's Gore vs. Bush (2000) case. They are ignoring their own past decisions on this. They are useless.
