It’s being reported that everyone getting vaccinated is the only way to get “back to normal”.
2. CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENTS
One of the oldest and most widely used marketing gimmicks. Partly because it works, but mostly because it’s cheap and easy: Simply find a bunch of tools and put them to work.
3. FORCED “SCARCITY”
For weeks now we’ve been seeing headlines about “dwindling stock” of vaccines. How people in Europe are desperate for doses or some states are being prioritised over others. It goes on and on and on.
4. FAKE “POPULARITY”
You can’t underestimate the idea of peer pressure when it comes to marketing, one of the oldest tricks in the book is culturing popularity through the idea that popularity already exists. It’s why people buy likes and views on youtube and concerts have seat fillers.
5. “RESISTANCE IS USELESS”
This is an interesting one. There’s been a lot of talk about Vaccine Passports recently, and perhaps they will become a thing, but the vast majority of the public discourse is spreading the idea they are “inevitable”.
so what is “long COVID”?
People that have had it a long time?
Did someone named Long patent a new strain?
They want to think that.

Here’s what amazes me. Already down thread the substance of this thread is hijacked by the flat earther antivax deniers who apparently are intellectually married to flawed snd incomplete treatments yet want so desperately to believe that Covid is a complete conspiracy that they are willing to risk the lives of others who may read their ideas and follow the lemmings right over the cliff.
While this is anecdotal data in this article it fits observations that are being seen with long haulers. And makes sense. So what the flat earthworks don’t get is this is how science evolves. See something. Make a hypothesis. Test it. This is encouraging and with proper process coukd be a breakthrough. But we have on this very board people who are so against the scientific method that they will rail at increasingly bizarre statements to prove a pint that we shouldn’t advance beyond incomplete early treatments because of some strange political narcissism they seem to hold.
It’s disgraceful.
So a 1/3 saw improvement (smell/taste & fatigue). And not all of those 1/3 had a permanent improvement. For Some it was ‘short lived’ and Symptoms returned.

Today is the 10-day mark for me since my second Moderna vaccine and I have felt zero side effects. I’m type O Negative blood if that means anything. So am I now COVID immune?

I’m calling BS on this right now. Just another push to get people with natural immunity impetus to get the vaccine. I have yet to see compelling evidence that the vaccine is better than natural immunity. This makes me a little more skeptical about it.
I’m skeptical. Think back to any diet pill ad. It’s always something like: “Give me your money, take this pill, exercise, diet, etc. — and you will lose weight”.
Well, d’oh.
I suspect that every one of these cases had something else going on that was the basis for any improvement.
