When it comes to equality, for the political left, it’s just a talking point, and basically, that’s it. According to recent studies, when it comes to how people are treated, conservatives are more likely to treat people equally.
You read that correctly.
According to a recent article on Psychology Today, “several recent studies over the past few years cast doubt on” the idea that liberals treat individuals and groups more equally than conservatives despite liberals’ “self-reported support for equality.”
On Twitter, “liberals were more likely to amplify the successes of female and Black athletes than male and White athletes, whereas conservatives treated the successes of groups more similarly,” one study found.
Other studies showed that “white liberals presented less self-competence to black than white interaction partners, whereas white conservatives treated black and white interaction partners more similarly. And in another set, liberals had stronger desires to censor passages that portrayed low-status groups unfavorably than identical passages that portrayed high-status groups unfavorably, whereas conservatives treated the passages more comparably.”
This unequal treatment by liberals extends to other areas as well. Psychology Today researchers found that “people had more generous acceptance criteria for admitting black than white candidates to an honor society, and this tendency was stronger among liberals.” In addition to that, “Whereas those high in social dominance orientation favored a white over a black job applicant, the reverse tendency to favor a black over a white job applicant was stronger among those low in social dominance orientation.” Further, while conservative “found jokes that target low-status and high-status groups similarly funny,” liberals “found jokes that target low-status groups less funny than those that target high-status groups.”

Didn’t Mr. Margolis get the memo?
Treating people equally is racist.
/sarc sort of.
This is disingenuous at best. Liberals are the judgmental and condescending people on Earth. They’re also the violent.
When I tip the waitress $20 for a $12-$15 meal my liberal friends think I’ve lost my mind.
I’m just generous and compassionate, they don’t understand the idea.
Who knew?????
How are they treating women right now?
Where are the NOW Nags?
Do they even exist anymore?
No great secret Liberal Democrats were born to patronize classes and races they feel are inferior to themselves.
They are a vile lot.
I’m a pretty good tipper, but you’ve got me beat. My typical bar bill is about $15, and my tip is usually $6-$7. If I only have one drink ($5) I’ll tip $2-$3.
“My typical bar bill is about $15, and my tip is usually $6-$7. “
Still better than average.
My sister was a lifelong server and schooled me about the importance of tipping. I have stepped it up in the last year or so because of the COVID lockdowns.
I spent a few years delivering pizza, and while I’m probably not the most generous tipper you’ll meet I do tip at least 15%.
Or at least I did in the “before times”.
You mean liberal’s yada yada yada is all just blather and their actions speak much louder than their phony talking points?
I think most people know that by now, don’t they?
Democrats and liberals treat minorities like infants and Americans as second class citizens. They are awful people. .
Lefty “americans” hate regular Americans more than foreigners hate Americans?
It's not difficult. A Conservative can look at a person and understand that "there but by the Grace of God, go I", and the leftist liberals reject God and think that by their own grace they are better than others.
I think that the authors should have considered that Libs crave validation through virtue-signalling, but Conservatives do not require such external validation.
$20 tip ... bless you. We try to tip well, figuring the server’s last table probably stiffed them, and because DD worked two jobs including waitressing to get through college
Doing lots of pick-up and carry-out. Have no idea what tip might be appropriate. Usually it’s a tip jar on the counter but sometimes and add on the charge.
I figure they’re packing up the order and ringing you up. Less than a ‘real’ waiter should get but how much? Say you’re ordering $30 worth of carry out. What is a decent range of tip?
Not surprising, but good to see.
