Ron Johnson grinds Senate to halt, irritating many

Keep it up Ron!

People can change their minds. I hope he runs again

Of course they can. Politicians make promises and then break them all the time without any sort of penalty. No reason why this shouldn't be the same. I expect he'll run again.

I believe bills were always read on the floor... A Long long Time ago.

A long, long time ago a filibuster required the Senator doing the filibustering to remain on the floor, in person, speaking for the duration. Now they get to just phone it in.

If Congress can find an easy way not to do their job then they'll jump on it every chance they get.

Depends on how one defines ‘weapons’

Read on!
This has as much chance of success as attempting to add numerous amendments.

“Read on!”

Yep. If it irritates RINOs and RATs, I’m for it.

He’s also giving the Democrats more time to turn a Republican senator. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yes, but if the GOP caucus is that loose under the Turtle, we are doomed. At least we see a ;lesson on Trump pull up your socks meme, a precursor to many primaries for DOP Senators who cannot. The populist GOP is watching closely.

I suppose the pork promises from the Dems to various RINOs are flying thick and fast.

We live in dangerous times where thhis Bill will fnd the demographic warfare being waged against the People. This bill is an appropriation of liberal fascist, demographic war against the People funds, IMHO.

I am glad Joe is making them scrape for it.

I did not go into the Capitol. Like a few hundred thousand other patriots on the other side of the building, we were unaware of any breach. I had a folding pocketknife, a stun gun and pepper spray, all of which are legal to carry in DC.

Unlike the ignorant stupid lying Capitol Police and politicians, I knew Antifa was planning to be there and to cause trouble. The devices I carried were to help protect those in my group should the necessity arise, including two in wheelchairs.

The Hill is The Shill.
Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) said he was "absolutely" supportive of Johnson’s effort. "None of us have seen the text," Lankford added. "I think it's important for the American people and our Democratic colleagues to recognize that when they're going to propose spending money that's not needed and that’s wasteful and they lard up a piece of legislation that that we're not going to just sit back and take it that we're going to fight back," said Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah).
Nice try, Hairdo.

I think Biden just wants to get this one through however he can. If he peels off a Republican vote or two, well and good. But he's got the votes he needs.

What's going to be interesting is when the Democrats submit a minimum wage increase as a stand alone. Or election reform. Or D.C. and Puerto Rico statehood. The arguments that the Republicans use against those will be interesting.

Any tactic to delay the leftist agenda is good

Henceforth, every bill will be read by the Senate Clerks

Biden's back at it, getting involved in Ukraine; showering the (cough) helpless state w/ $125 million

US military aid to Ukraine (USAI) is not given in the form of money to Ukraine but is US military equipment that is purchased in the US and transferred to Ukraine.

That makes sense. Otherwise I didn’t see the real purpose for this delaying tactic.

"It doesn’t punish anybody except members of the staff … and pretty much all 100 senators,” said Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D)."

Sounds like a good deal to me!
