Censorship and burned books... Hey YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, et. al. You've sure picked some good company to be in:

The German army burned books in WW I.

The Bulgarian army also burned books in WW I - as part of a genocide campaign.

In between WW I and WW II Weimar's Germany destroyed even comic strips... (sound familiar muslims?)

The Iranian army has burned basically every Kurdish work they come across.

Stalin picked up where the Nazis left off - burning numerous Jewish works.

During a military coup in Brazil the General (aka new dictator) ordered "subversive works" destroyed.

During the Chinese "cultural revolution" the communists burned numerous works.

Religious conservatives in the southern US (you know, the very demographic the elites in charge of YouTube, Twitter, etc. make fun of) burned and destroyed works by the Beatles.
