This may be true for the National Guard, but Pelosi and McConnel controlled the DC police and they also denied reinforcements when the DC police requested it.

The SAME pentagon that President Obama’s pal William Ayers once bombed.

Strange these freaks had NO problem with burning, looting and mayhem all across DC for months on end ... WHO kept them out of the Capitol during the violent ‘protests’??? ... I saw video of the democrat thugs assaulting people who left the White House .. just ask Rand Paul... and Lord Almighty, how these freaks came unglued with President Trump holding up a Bible at a church the demoniacs tried to burn..

Trump ordered the NG. Trump, at the time, was the direct commander of the DC National Guards commander Walker. ONLY the DC National Guard is under direct command of the US President.

Walker knows this. Trump went through channels, offering up ordering several days before Jan 6th for DC National Guard to be called up. PELOSI REFUSED the Nat. Guard (this was on live call to Steve Hylton’s show Sunday).

There was ZERO Pentagon interference. Miller was acting SecDef. Walker is full of it.

Incidentally, every State units of National Guard deployed to DC come under the command overall of Gen. Walker. So he is again full of it.

the security breakdown that occurred when a pro-Trump mob attacked the Capitol

How did they attack it?

Seems like he is contradicting himself here.

Walker...told lawmakers about a Jan. 5 letter...that restricted his ability to deploy the Quick Reaction Force and seek approval from higher ups before moving his National Guard forces.

Walker also testified that former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund, who resigned in the wake of the attack, felt that he was unable to ask for National Guard assistance ahead of the attack. Walker said the two are friends, and spoke the weekend before Jan 6. “I asked him, ‘Are you going to request DC National Guard help? And if you do I need it in writing. It has to be formal because the Secretary of Defense has to approve it.’

[BUT THE LETTER WAS SENT A DAY BEFORE NOT BEFORE THE WEEKEND]

He told me he was not allowed to request a support, and I asked him if he wanted me to share that and he said, ‘No, I can’t even ask you for the score.’ That’s what he told me,” Walker said.

Sund previously told lawmakers he sought to request National Guard assistance on Jan. 4, but was rebuffed by former House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving.

This is a set piece about statehood now, not the Pentagon. If a state, the “gov” could call out the militia without Pentagon approval.

Had Trump unilaterally dispatched the National Guard, these same clowns would be braying that he was attempting a military coup. Sund’s testimony makes it clear that Pelosi refused to request the Guard, that Walker knew that a Congressional request was needed and that Pelosi wouldn’t allow it, and that had a request been made, it would have been approved and acted upon immediately.

The Hill can spin but Nancy Pelosi is the one at fault.

WAlker is a snake. Go find his interview where he said the soldiers sleeping in the garage were “taking a break” and “taking a knee” as he smirked. Trash. The interview may be on Defense One you tube page. Him and General Hokansen gave the interview along with sec def. Very eye opening when you read between the lines. Hokansen was professional and Walker was smirky and they were at odds if you watched carefully.

Anyway, this is yet more evidence to me that Trump was deposed around the 6th. I think Pence and McConnell told him that Pence would 25th him, and McConnell would uphold it and remove him within a day if he did anything else... including releasing documents, pardoning Assange or Snowden, etc.
He was told to stand down, and leave on the 20th or else a laundry list of threats to him and his family would unfold.

And Trump didn’t order the post 6th flood of 25,000-30,000 soldiers and the fortification of DC. So who did? I think it was Pence in consultation with McConnell. And what about the flood of cabinet members leaving about then?

Essentially, a stealth 25th was executed to keep the coup from looking messy, or too blunt.

NOw they are scrambling to explain why soldiers didn’t come when Trump ordered them, and avoiding explaining why tens of thousands came from all over America when they were NOT needed.

DC is trash.

Something very important is being missed. I heard one of them testify that the military didn’t act on the request for National Guard because they were hesitant after the (Democrat) criticism they had received after protecting the White House from attackers.

They’ve already testified that the democrats, who didn’t want the White House protected, in effect prevented them from protecting the Capitol.

Problem with Walker’s story is that the Pentagon had previously offered on Jan 2 to send troops in to assist the Cap Hill police on Jan 6 and were waved off.

January 2, 2021 : (DoD official reaches out to USCP Dpty Chief Sean Gallagher to see if Natl Guard troops were going to be requested) According to a timeline of the siege laid out $, an official from the Defense Department reached out to Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher of the USCP on Jan. 2, 2021 seeking information as to whether National Guard troops were going to be requested, however Gallagher rejected the offer after consulting with then-USCP Chief Steven Sund.
