Mike Pence Breaks His Silence on Election

Too little too late… we don’t want to hear it…
Former Vice President Pence on Wednesday criticized the 2020 election in his his first extended written comments since leaving office in January.
Pence said there were “significant voting irregularities” and “numerous instances of officials setting aside state election law” in the 2020 presidential election.
The remarks were offered by Pence in an op-ed published by the Daily Signal, a publication run by the conservative Heritage Foundation. The context was an attack on H.R. 1, a voting rights bill the House is expected to pass on Wednesday, that Pence said would “increase opportunities for election fraud.”
" “Many of the most troubling voting irregularities took place in states that set aside laws enacted by state legislatures in favor of sweeping changes ordered by governors, secretaries of state, and courts.”“While legislators in many states have begun work on election reform to restore public confidence in state elections, unfortunately, congressional Democrats have chosen to sweep those valid concerns and reforms aside and to push forward a brazen attempt to nationalize elections in blatant disregard of the U.S. Constitution.”
Excellent! Don’t rick the boat.
Pence is done politically...he had his chance
It is to an American - secular ‘Holy Writ’, others not so much !
what a fkn pissant... the guy disgusts me.
I said years ago to be wary of this guy. He bailed on us with regard to the Indiana Religious Rights act when he got a little resistance from the left, when push comes to shove you have to make your own judgment on how far you’ll trust him. I still say, be wary.
Pence is out!
There was some sneaky thing he did with Pelosithat I can’t remember. Anyone know what I’m talking about?:
I was reading the PDF and after page 20 the everything went blank. So I scrolled to the end. Blank. Hit the Home key and the whole 191 pages are blank.
I may or may not have uploaded it onto my top secrete pdf holder and printer thingy.
odd
Maybe he is following the Nikki Haley lead and pathetically trying to rehabilitate his reputation.
Ah, so you are a lawyer... Nowhere in the Constitution does fraud get protected. The Supreme Court has sold out any shred of credibility they ever had.. Christ foretold what would be from those that sit in the seat of Moses.. I fully expect Heavenly Justice for oath breakers.
Mike Pence breaks...wind.
The Vice President doesn't certify electors. He doesn't certify anything. He literally has one job: open the certificates containing the votes of the electors.
"The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted." - Article II Sec 1
Pence couldn't choose the electors; that's up to the states. Pence couldn't choose whether or not some electoral college votes were "valid". There's no such thing. The electors cast a vote and those votes are the only ones that matter. Every single person in American can vote one way, but the electoral college determines who is President of the United States. If you don't like that, then join in with all the liberals who wanted to abolish the Electoral College 20 years ago after Bush v Gore.
"I’m sick of you people who claim Pence was just doing his job."
I'm not claiming anything. I'm quoting the US Constitution. Your problem is not with me, it's with the US Constitution.
"You are anti-Trumpers like Pence."
I fully support President Trump and I absolutely wanted (and still want) him to have another 4 year term as President of the United States. But not to the point of engaging in anarchy. The US Constitution says what it means and means what it says. If we're going to just abandon it when the result goes a way we don't like, we're no better than Somalia. No thanks.
I'm a strict constitutionalist. You ought to be too.
You don’t “send disputed electoral votes back to the states.” The EVs the states certify are final. If there were any irregularities to be addressed within the states then they should have sent separate slates of electors to Congress.
And yet,
KNOWINGLY - YOU - PARTICIPATED in the FURTHERANCE of the FRAUD!
He had an OBLIGATION to refuse to be a part of the HOAX!
I said this even before JAN 6th, VP Pence could have physically REFUSED to accept the Electoral Vote Certificates, at the time of their presentation, and he would have been on firm Constitutional grounds in doing so.
In fact, to make it even MORE Constitutionally sound of an act, he could have and should have resigned at - that - precise - moment (or even at a time prior) and STATED that he was not going to participate in an OBVIOUS FRAUD.
He could have demonstratively thrown his hands into the air and stated that he would not, he could not be a part of such CRIMES committed against our nation.
THE LAW WAS BROKEN and people need to be held accountable, convicted, and then sentenced to rot in prison for their crimes.
Dang Mike Pence.
Whatever the reason, the safeguards in the Constitution against voter fraud failed, not due to flaws in the document but because of the cowardice of the legislatures primarily, but also the courts and Congress secondarily. I think it was John Adams who said the Constitution is effective only with a moral people. Many Americans, especially the most of the political, cultural, and financial elite, are not moral.
Pence denied the public the right to hear the evidence on 6 Jan so we deny hearing from him.
Refusing to show up was really his only option if he felt the whole thing was a fraud.
Too little too late Mickey.🙄
He had nothing to lose and everything to gain just by doing nothing and forcing it to the SC.
Was thinking that, too. Didn’t work for her, not likely it’ll work for him, either.
