Gold and Silver sellers have pushed the fear-porn of metals since 1965.

Silver hit it’s all time high adjusted for inflation in 1986.
Gold has done a little better. Right now, both are falling when they should be rising, according to the metal dealers. Both metals are price controlled by the big boys.

They have announced plans to remove taxation on precious metals as of July 19, 2019.

You can buy gold and silver on-line without paying a sales tax - something I wasn't aware of as everything else I have bought was hit.

Don’t know how that will play out if the states start to use metals again as tender. And the market will probably go haywire on gold and silver if they do. The feds can’t let precious go unchecked so they will have to inflate products to deflate the metals or force the foreign market up to try to limit it’s purchase. It’ll all be kneejerk and overkill.
