WASHINGTON — Former Pennsylvania health secretary Rachel Levine plans to tell lawmakers Thursday that her long and varied career in Pennsylvania — as a pediatrician, professor, public health advocate and, most recently, the state’s chief communicator during the COVID-19 pandemic — qualifies her to run key federal health programs as assistant secretary of health.
“At its core, my career has been about helping people live healthy lives,” Dr. Levine wrote in her opening statement, as prepared for delivery. “I am both humbled by the opportunity, and ready for the job.”
Of all her roles, Dr. Levine, tapped by President Joe Biden last month for the role in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will likely face questions about her decisions guiding the Keystone State through an unprecedented public health crisis.
Republicans have renewed scrutiny into nursing home deaths after the state’s decision to allow people who had been hospitalized with COVID-19 to return to or enter long-term care facilities. The administration of Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, also has endured GOP anger at statewide shutdown orders and a slower-than-expected COVID-19 vaccine rollout that lags behind other states.
Democrats on the committee, including Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., are likely to praise her as an effective leader whose tough decisions in the public spotlight make her an ideal candidate.
“She is exactly the kind of crisis-tested leader our nation needs,” Mr. Casey said in a statement coinciding with her nomination on Jan. 19.
If confirmed, Dr. Levine, 63, would be the first openly transgender official to be confirmed by the Senate. And she would assume her biggest job yet after five years working on intractable health problems from Harrisburg, navigating medical science, policy and politics.

Dr. Levine was born with one x and one y chromosome as the 23rd pair of chromosomes in his DNA. Unless and until that changes, science says Dr. Levine’s sex and gender are male. Any claims to the contrary are contradicted by the science and the doctor’s DNA. Full stop, end of story.
Well, we now have a Vice President whose primary qualifications for the job were possession of a large amount of melanin and a vagina, so this is hardly surprising.
Richard was refused “gender reassignment surgery” when he wanted to make the change because he was deemed mentally unstable.
He showed ‘em but good: Went into the ER bathroom with a knife and did a DIY dicectomy.
And HE is going to advise us on “health”!?!?
Dr. Richardless Levine is a perfect candidate for the job of Assistant Health Secretary. He’s there to remind EVERYONE to avoid a government health employee at all costs. It’s all a fraud.
Her parts are OEM.
One such tough decision was to have her mother removed from a nursing home and into a hotel during the covid crisis,
while having recovering covid cases moved into nursing homes (just like Cuomo), thus furthering the covid spread.
Thank goodness she had the authority to move the mother out - I guess that was one of the tough decisions.
As a side note, today the Dim's are moving today to legislate LBQR/Confused as human rights.

Actually I don’t think Biden ever picked Harris. His & her handlers picked Harris. Kamala Harris put Biden down pretty badly in the primary debates. The powers that be elites selected her just as they selected Biden. Biden was chosen and never won any election.

I should have said Harris was picked for Biden, not that Biden personally picked her, but even then I think the reason for her being picked were as I said - 90% BECAUSE she’s a woman and a “minority”.
I actually think Obama, Jarret and Soros are doing 100% of the picking of Biden’s team. Biden remains the second fiddle in the whole operation.

If the Republicans were politically wise in PA they would make going after Wolfe and the former Health secretary (for bad policy) that killed seniors in nursing homes a major priority. It would could uncover corruption and beholden them to PA seniors, families and hurt the Democrats behind this since the media covers up for them. Those who watch only CNN know nothing about the Wolfe and Levine killing seniors in nursing homes.

The families of those seniors should get together and file a class-action lawsuit against the state of PA along with Wolfe, Levine and others of their ilk personally....take em to the cleaners and be sure to make a nationwide public spectacle of it.
