Former President Barack Obama claimed reparations for black Americans are 'justified' but explained in his podcast with Bruce Springsteen that it was a 'nonstarter' during his presidency because of 'white resistence'.
During his 2008 presidential campaign, Obama appeared to oppose reparations and argued that 'the best reparations we can provide are good schools in the inner city and jobs for people who are unemployed.'
Obama, 59, has launched an eight-episode podcast series called Renegades: Born in the USA with the 71-year-old rock legend, released through Spotify’s partnership with the Obama’s Higher Ground production company.

To some extent, my feeling toward this “reparations” crap is the old Dirty Harry line... “Go ahead, make my day.” If the Dems start cutting five or six figure checks to the 12-15% of the population who are black or claim to be black, the non-black population will flee to the GOP in droves. This nonsense will breed severe resentment among the nearly everyone else, except perhaps the most braindead white liberals.
Unlike the Obama’s I don’t see a problem with today’s white Americans unwilling to pay reparations to today’s American blacks. Neither todays blacks are slaves nor todays whites slave masters..... Regardless if blacks continue to beat the victim drum they are their own worst enemy today.

Employment was called slavery a long time ago. Some masters (employers) did it righteously and morally (letting them go after six years, signing property over to them, etc.). [Yes, there were rules.] Others did it wrongfully and immorally.
Today, there are many millions of whites in the U.S.A., who didn’t enslave anyone. Maybe Obama would like to try exhuming unrighteous slave owners from the distant past, to see if he can get some money out of them.
Those who call for such reparations are ghoulish. Imagine that.
