Is the judiciary the most dangerous branch?(Black Robed Tyrants in Harrisburg)

---SNIP--- Today, however, there is good reason to believe that the judiciary is no longer the least dangerous branch, but rather is the most dangerous branch. That may be especially true in Pennsylvania where the state Supreme Court has assumed almost dictatorial powers, especially with regard to elections. It has not only usurped authority over congressional elections granted by the Constitution to the state legislature and Congress, but has also violated the state constitution by unilaterally amending state election law. For example, three years ago, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court held that the existing congressional districts violated the Pennsylvania Constitution. It then redrew the districts itself.

Maybe Pat Toomey should be addressing the tyrants in Harrisburg that are conducting a real insurrection.
* They illegally redrew PA congressional districts and illegally changed election laws.

There’s a remedy for that, but Americans don’t have the stomach for that anymore.

They certainly have had a deleterious effect on our culture and constitution.

Activist judges are far more effective than those that follow the constitution.

The Founders plan thought the reps closest to the people would keep these tyrants in check. One tyrant overides 70% of the people’s votes based on some aburd reasoning and it was supposed to be bye, bye.

Sigh...

Well, practically there is no real means of appeal if the Supreme Court decides to make law, as they have been wont to do for the last century or so.

Some will say “but the legislature can pass a new law to overrule them”, but then the Supreme Court will just strike that law down as well, if they are intent on making law.

Others may say “but we can pass an amendment”, but you will not be able to pass any amendment on controversial matters that the nation is divided on, and even if you did, the Supreme Court would be the arbiters and interpreters of that amendment.

Yes, we could impeach them to hold them accountable, but Congress much impeach them, and Congress seems just fine with the current arrangement of having the Supreme Court make any laws that Congress wants but cannot pass through the legislature.

Congress can remove or restrict USSC’s juridiction.
Getting them to do that is the trick.

As I understand it, Judges can be impeached by the legislature in PA.

34 of 50 Senators must vote to impeach. The irony is that prior to the election the GOP was one vote from making it happen. Not so much anymore. But that would have been the time to put the scare into the PA Supreme Court.

At the very least, the legislature should be putting a Constitutional Amendment in front of the voters to put an end to the Court’s Dictatorship.

The election steal of 2020 started in Pennsylvania when the court extended the election date and allowed ballots afterwards with no accountibility.

Isn’t it such a childish thing, this donning of some garb as though it gives them some sort of super powers of some kind? These people cloak themselves in this garb and then look down their noses at us as though they are so much superior to us.

The PA Supreme Court was elected via George Soros in 2015.

It was Soros’ plan since the 2000 election to take over state supreme courts, attorney general posts and state secretary of states. Democrats knew this is where great power was wielded and voters were apathetic.

Soros justices now hold a 5-2 majority and will hold a 6-1 majority after this November elections because one Republican justice hits the 75 year mandatory retirement age.

They will prevent the PA Legislature (currently Republican majority) from redrawing the congressional districts or fixing election laws...if the PA legislature has the balls to fix the election laws. Currently, they are spineless.

PA Republicans may propose to change the state supreme court from statewide races to regional races.

In other words, each justice will be elected from a region in PA and not via statewide elections.

This may be on the ballot this fall.
