Report: Joe Biden Weighing Executive Order on ‘Ghost Guns’
Breitbart ^ | 02/23/2021 | Awr Hawkins

President Joe Biden is reportedly weighing executive gun control on “ghost guns,” a term Democrats use to describe firearms that can be built from kits or 80 percent frames/lowers.

On Tuesday Politico reported that Biden wants to make good on this campaign promise to pursue gun control and sees executive action in targeted areas as the way to do it.

Back around 1970, Guns and Ammo magazine had an article about hand made guns built behind California Prison walls. Even the ammo was hand made.

One shown was a fully auto sub machine gun. Crude but it worked.

Illegal: they don't meet the definition of a firearm. Neither does an AR lower, as some circuits have held.

So an 80% AR lower is 80% of a non-firearm.

In either case, an 80% lower is no more than a block of aluminum or whatever, legally.

my understanding is that match lock, flint lock, and percussion lock fire arms manufactured before 1889 and not using center/rim fire ammunition are considered antiques and not subject to the 1968 fire arms restrictions. This exemption also applies to modern replicas of those types of fire arms

They’ll go after the manufacturers for being ‘unlicensed gun dealers’. They already started a few weeks ago.

Given they have gone after a seller selling all the parts in one kit I think they will require separate sales/sellers and then they have done something. Alternatively they may redefine what 80% is.

Carter was not dumb in any sense of the word. Nobody, considered to be dumb worked for Adm Rickover. However, I believe Carter was not fit to be the President. Carter was not economically or politically astute enough nor did he have the political gravitas to get anything done in DC. He was an outsider even to the RATS and never built policy bridges even within his own party. Carter was an engineer he functioned and though like an engineer. Lots of empirical values in engineering, not so many in politics. As an early advocate of civil rights he positioned himself to be an effective State and local politician. He was seen as the polar opposite of Nixon and so he was elected. Carter was an abject failure as a President.

Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar and was no idiot except when he was thinking with the wrong head. Compared to Obama and Biden, Clinton was a breath of fresh air. Clinton was probably the most moderate RAT since Kennedy. He was fortunate to preside over an economy not burdened by the Cold War. Bill and Hillary’s scandal ridden Administration were the problem and forever tarnished his Presidency. Without the scandals and with his ability to triangulate successfully, we would of had a President Al Gore. 🤮 We have since learned that Hillary was the evil radical one of the two.

All that said, Obama was the dumbest of the three. Obama was never a Constitutional scholar or professor, that was a load off BS. Obama had no political resume to speak of and was politically tone deaf. Had Obama been more white looking than black he would never have been elected outside of Illinois. Obama was not a great thinker he was just so arrogant he failed to see his policies were the problem. As witnessed by how Obama is running Joe through his (Obama’s) surrogates. He is trying to undo all of Trump’s good economic policies to push his crap back on us to try and prove he was right. I believe that Obama thought he inherited a bad economy and none of the eight years of economic failure were his fault. Watch as he destroys the Trump economy. But as Trump told us, he was elected because of Obama’s bad policies.

“Under Federal Law an 80% lower is not a firearm. An executive order won’t change that.”

Under ATF’s own rule bump stocks did not meet the definition of automatic weapon, but they just poof, made them illegal. The precedent has been set.

Under Federal Law an 80% lower is not a firearm. An executive order won’t change that.

Neither was a bump-stock, but that was banned via stroke of the pen.

"concerned more about image than really doing something."

That's every gun control bill in a nutshell.

“Under Federal Law an 80% lower is not a firearm. An executive order won’t change that.”

LOL, good one. It’s like saying the Constitution confers some kind of ‘right’ to own firearms.

Sounds like they’re missing out. They should be selling repros for the legal market!
I’d pay $500 or more for a new, shootable M1896 Mauser ‘Broomhandle’ in 9mm or .45 ACP.
Assuming, of course they were allowed to export them and we were allowed to import them...

Don't give me that garbage about him being some kind of a
wizard. You're not getting a buy-in here. That's a load of
crap.

This is a guy that single-handedly turned a very strong
ally in the Middle-East, into an adversary, and helped
set up an Islamic Caliphate in Iran.

At the same time this brilliant strategist forgot to vacate
our embassy, resulting in over 400 people being held hostage
indefinitely.

The change in leadership in Iran, soon resulted in war
between Iran and Iraq.

This wound up costing over 500,000 souls. Hussein thought
Iran would be a pushover. He never would have tried that
against the Shah.

Carter destabilized Iran and the entire region. Iran went
on to train terrorists and send them into battle in Iraq
against us, and the government of Iraq.

It's still causing trouble in Iraq today.

Iran went on to arm Hezbollah in Lebanon, which resulted
in one or two Israeli wars against it's proxies.

Carter neglected to renegotiate the administration of the
Panama Canal, which resulted in China coming in to manage
the passage and gain a foothold in Central America.

When Kim's dad in North Korea was seeking nuclear weapons
back in 90s, Carter took it upon himself to go to N. Korea
and negotiate with Kim's dad. This resulted in Carter
walking away having achieved nothing but green lighting
N. Korea to continue on it's path to nuclear weapons.

Clinton was so caught off guard that he had to claim he
was the one that sent Carter, but news accounts of the
day made that crystal clear. He hadn't.

Carter set up an international think tank upon leaving
office. He imagined himself the grand wizard of
international relations. The grand lizard would have
been closer to the truth.

Hostilities looked like they were going to break out
between the two nations, so Carter jumped in with both
feet to 'fix things'. (N. Korea)

His pals included Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and Daniel
Ortega. He never met a Communist thug he didn't love.
Look at his expressions in these photos. He's thrilled
to be in these people's presence.

And remember, this is the jackass who turned Iran into
an Islamic Califate, based on the Shah of Iran's supposed
human rights abuses.

He destabilized the Middle-East. He contributed to the
destabilization of Asia. He contributed to bolstering
the reputations of Castro, Chavez, and Ortega. At the
time he pulled that nonsense with Ortega, Reagan was
trying to effect holding together and keeping safe the
Contras in that nation.

Lest we forget, Carter facilitated China coming into
Central America, Something we had tried to avoid for
upwards of 50 years before that. We didn't want
Russia or anyone else down there causing trouble.
Here Jimmy was helping out again.

He didn't just screw up other regions of the world, he
helped bring a growing super-power into our own
hemisphere.

Carter was an extremely dangerous ignorant man. He's been
on the wrong side of every issue in the nearly 50 years
I've been aware of him.

Bright? Well, NO!

Carter & Castro, link only

Biden isn’t weighing anything. His handlers have already written the E.O. and will put it on his desk to sign without knowing what it is.

How many people here have read the two Topper books by Thorne Smith, from which the first two Topper movies were made?

Joe Depends isn’t weighing anything. He has no damn idea what his handlers are putting in front of him to sign.

What a monstrous joke - that isn’t funny.
