Merrick Garland will tell senators on Monday that he will fight discrimination and domestic extremism if confirmed as attorney general, according to testimony released by the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“It is a fitting time to reaffirm that the role of the attorney general is to serve the Rule of Law and to ensure equal justice under the law,” Garland is expected to say at his confirmation hearing.

Garland's nomination to the Supreme Court was bottled up in the Senate for nearly a year in 2016. Republicans refused to give him a hearing because they argued that the winner of that year’s presidential election should fill the vacancy left by the death of conservative Justice Antonin Scalia.

We’re looking at sort of the opposite of what existed in the ‘60s when the feds made it their business to infiltrate and discredit left-leaning groups (anti-Vietnam war groups, student radicals, Black Panthers, etc.). I hope Merrick Garland has no intention of starting the hot phase of a second civil war, but that is what this sounds like. Perhaps America's enemies are tired of skirmishes where they pick off small numbers of decent people. The radical left has not changed since the days when they wer indoctrinating Barack Hussein and other enemies of everything decent.

In a 2009 interview, Grathwohl quoted Bill Ayers as saying that after the revolution succeeded and the government was overthrown, they believed they would have to eliminate 25 million Americans who would not conform to the new order.

The slippery slope from “domestic terrorism” to domestic “extremism” is nothing other than Garland saying “we will criminalize our opponents for being our opponents”.

I would only add that the FIB/CIA/State Dept back then still kept a close eye on the Soviets and their client states.

Today, the same departments and the military have turned mostly inward to combat political enemies while our politician get rich selling us out to the Chicoms.
