The identity politics that come from intersectionality are designed to separate people
The recent revelation that a senior Navy task force is proposing an oath to be taken by every member of the Navy was a warning of how deep woke-think has penetrated American institutions – even the Defense Department.
Consider this pledge proposed by Task Force Navy One, which was formed in June to develop strategies to combat discrimination in the Navy:
"I pledge to advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every sailor in the Navy. I pledge to engage in ongoing self-reflection, education and knowledge sharing to better myself and my communities. I pledge to be an example in establishing healthy, inclusive and team-oriented environments. I pledge to constructively share all experiences and information gained from activities above to inform the development of Navy-wide reforms."
Reread this pledge and think of the young men and women who will be asked to commit to it.
First, how many new recruits will have any idea what this "intersectionality" they have pledged to advocate for and acknowledge actually is?
As wikia.org defines it:
"Intersectionality is a concept often used in critical theories to describe the ways in which oppressive institutions (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia, classism, etc.) are interconnected and cannot be examined separately from one another."
The website goes on to say it is "largely used in critical theories, especially Feminist theory, when discussing systematic oppression."
It is profoundly wrong to have our young men and women in uniform take a pledge like this.

The military’s entire purpose is suppression. Our military has been sissified because everyone thinks technology saves the day.
What’s sad is that it has to be told.
Many of us here with at least half of a functioning brain tied behind our back, asked the same question.
What the hell does this B$ mean?:
“I pledge to advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every sailor in the Navy. Exactly!
Good article.
“We want a military dedicated to war fighting, learning the lessons of military history, and preparing to defeat our opponents if we are militarily threatened. The kind of potentially heroic young men and women who rally to the flag to fight for America are not going to be strengthened in their dedication to winning by having to learn an ideology that has been foisted on a gullible country by woke flim-flam artists (the modern grifters of phony sociology and politics). “
Ableism? Being able to do your job is now racist? Assuming somebody is not fit for a job because of their ...whatever...is now part of the solution?
Astute historians will mark the dcline of the American military, the FBI, the CIA and the NSA with the onset of the Clinton administration with the destruction nearly complete and possibly irreversible under Obama. Bush was virtually useless. Trump was resisted mightly whenever he tried to reform and implement reason. Throughout history politically, savy, militarily incompetent officers wiggle their way to positions of authority. These pole climbers almost always cause severe loss and casualities in times of war. The NAVY is particularly wok and vulnerable. The creatures being put in command of ships are truly bizarre. Many brave young sailors will die needlessly and never know why.
West Point now forces critical race theory propaganda down the throats of the cadets. The superintendent behind this bs is black. Anti white racism is pervasive in the army today. The only units that are exempt are special forces teams (but the higher hqs are full of political correctness) and the ranger battalions.

I have a masters degree in English and can't make any sense out of what that gobble-de-gook means.
But I'll bet the military understand exactly what it means (their own definition, of course) and will severely punish anyone who violates "intersectionality."
I'd muster out, as quickly as I could, on being forced to take a muddled, incomprehensible, politically correct oath.
It’s not my Navy anymore. I’m embarrassed.
It is NOT there for social experiments that degrade those objectives.
And, they still won't know what the H it means when they're hauled before a tribunal for violating it, tried, severely punished and then dishonorably discharged - after serving a long sentence in the brig.
A conservative military would not attack American citizens.
A liberal one WILL.
Guaranteed.
Sorry, but dat’s the twuth, and we should be very worried about the idiots that bend over and allow our troops to be propagandized by the sloths, vermin, and slime molds currently running our government.
Rigged elections are what put US in danger.
And BOTH parties were in on it.
Thanks, I suspected it was not just a Navy thing.
This is, in essence, a pledge to put the religion of "wokeness" or critical theory, ahead of facts, logic, and reality in every action taken.
It means all of the resources of the Navy will be used to promote the religion of "wokeness".
It is Orwellian. It pledges the individual to an insane view of the world, directly at odds with the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the rule of law and due process of law.
