I thought his pre-Christmas show was his last one the way he signed off so I was expecting his time was close. Part of me wishes he would have taken the last year off to enjoy his last days so I was ready.
He was a national treasure with wit and comedic skills that will never be matched. I know he followed us because he would drop a brayism every once in a while or follow-up one of the posts with almost the exact phraseology. He led a great life, but had to be tough having to be attacked by libs all the time.
What a carbon footprint.
Edge with Duck-duck.
Hannity likes to hear himself talk even though he is on about 12 hours a day. He asks his 5 min question/monologue gives the guy a half a sentence and then finishes the answer for another 5 mins. Why even have guests if you don’t care what they have to say?
I nominated somebody that’s a very good host but nowhere near the fame of Rush. Dan Bongino!!!
Good one. He’s a detail. Heres what’s really going on type of communicator.
The following 5-year survival rates provided by the ACS are based on people who were diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer between 2009 and 2015.
Stage.......................5-year survival rate
Distant (stage 4) non-small cell lung cancer....................... 7 percent
All stages combined for non-small cell lung cancer.............25 percent
Stage................ 5-year survival rate
Distant (stage 4) small cell lung cancer............................... 3 percent
All stages combined for small cell lung cancer................... 7 percent
I was hoping Rush would be in that 25% range. Like I said, I was naive.
Good question. I was wondering the same thing. He was the closest person to Rush from a radio standpoint and knows volumes of how the show operated. Another question is what will happen with Rush’s EIB network.
Been fairly obvious that the judiciary/legal system is as much a part of the “Elite” as anybody.
If not (at least in their own minds) at the top leadership level.
Agree. Its easy to forget that they owe their “ seats/positions” to political appointments so can easily be swayed to ignore justice when needed.
Steve Bannon and his crew are doing a great job. Everybody is looking for the next Rush and wondering what will happen to EIB. If the libs have their way there will be no more Talk Radio.
I agree completely. I usually listen to him, too, and, in fact, rebroadcast his webcast through a repeater in my house so I can listen to it in the yard. Nearby radio stations are too weak to hear it directly.
The difference, though, is that when Rush was on, I would listen attentively, and would only do physical things like walking, or yard work, so I could pay attention to him. With Hannity it's quite different. He's so repetitious, that I can do complex tasks, and only pay attention occasionally. Hannity has the best guests of anyone I can get, so I watch his entire TV show in 10 to 15 minutes by recording it and fast forwarding through every part where his lips are moving.
Looking at the agenda, one giant omission is immigration. One small panel on border security. Where is Kris Kobach? Mark Krikorian?
I had a booth at CPAC for 6 years and sat in on the advisory committee that set up the theme of the annual conference and selected the speakers. CPAC stayed away from immigration for fear of angering its corporate sponsors. Grover Norquist used to dominate what could and could not be discussed. He was in the pocket of business.
Looking at the sponsor list, this is a slimmed down version of CPAC, which is normally held in DC. Mere shell of normal conference, probably due to Covid.
Lawyers are highly educated which means they can be prone to talking over the heads of their audience. Rush broadcast at the level of those with one year of college. Turned out it was perfect move since those with more college would still listen and those with less could still understand. Especially, with Rush's unique talent of bringing everyone on board which was one of the keys to his success.
Maybe the EIB can change its golf section with a fishing block?
I know he followed us
Agree. I think his “ stack” was a compilation of Free Republic threads as my daily routine was read FR first then listen to Rush.
Most of the time his topics were right off our site, and kudos to you as I too recognized the Bray isms....
I’m not sure... When I go to YouTube I’ll check...
Thanks very much great post and I agree much of the info gathered by the conservative world starts here at FR.
Carbon footprint and CO2/fossil fuels sound so scientific you don’t dare question. Just like claiming questioning the shooting is disrespecting the family. You are supposed to just cower in fear so they can hide the truth.
Just how does CO2 hold the heat in the atmosphere when it is microscopic in comparison to water holding heat.
It’s likely no host will dominate in mid-day like Rush has, with his unique appeal. 12-3 EST is not prime radio time. Sean would not want to move even if Fox moved his TV hour. His pm drive time in 1/2 the country gives him a huge leg up.
Maybe Linda can persuade more forcefully. Maybe we can persuade him. What’s her / his email ? Many seem to agree Sean is too repetitive. I won’t hesitate to tell him.
I totally agree. Laura Ingraham is the same way...she’ll ask a guest a question then answer it herself often stepping over her guests answer. That is one reason I prefer Steyn, though he is Canadian, he knows how to repartee.’ It truly is a skill.
