The scandal that's embroiled Albany is going to Washington.
Senate Republicans plan to ask President Biden's pick for attorney general, Judge Merrick Garland, at his confirmation hearing about whether he'll investigate the alleged cover-up of nursing home coronavirus deaths by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The hearing is scheduled to begin Monday and run into Tuesday.
Cuomo, a Democrat, has denied he covered up nursing home deaths.
"When Judge Garland testifies before this Committee, we expect him to commit the Department of Justice to fully investigating this cover-up to determine whether any criminal laws were violated and to prosecute any violations," a group of nine Republicans led by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said in a letter this week.
"We will also ask him whether he has the resources he needs to fully pursue an investigation, not only into the deaths that occurred in New York but the deaths that occurred in other states that adopted similar directives leading to the admission of COVID-19 infected persons into elder care facilities," the senators continued.

He might eventually get to it . . . maybe, but first he has a few dozen scores to settle with those pesky people that think the constitution will have more power than he and Joe. Payback is going to be ugly.
3 weeks from now this will all be buried and forgotten about and Cuomo will serve out the rest of his term which I believe ends 2022 and he may even be reelected. He said he was running for reelection and the NY neo-Marxists will probably reelect him. This will probably be the most blatant display of the political double standards between parties ever.
It would be the ultimate irony if Merrick Garland, who Yertle blocked from Scotus in 2015, now orders an investigation of Yertle’s corrupt Chinese business connections.
Remember how moderate and middle-of-the-road this guy was supposed to be when they were trying to speed him through the GOP Senate for USSC approval?
Now he is their choice for AG in the most corrupt and communist, least legitimate, presidency in history.
Hunter Buyden investigation should be discussed front and center. Let’s demand a recusal of anyone who Buyden puts up for US AG and demand a special prosecutor with all GOP attorneys, follow the POTUS Trump precedent.
Funny how big mouth loser Jim Comey was able to go through Weiner’s laptop in less than 3 days to determine that there was “nothing there” against HRC despite 10s of thousands of emails, yet good ole boy Wray and the “hands-off-Hunter” rope a dope, has sat on the laptop (we are told) since December 2019 and the silence is deafening. The entire GOP should vote against this court-justice-wanna-be Garland and everyone else Buyden puts up. Talk about Hunter 24/7.
How bad must Garland be that Biden wants him for AG? He must be a total swamp creature.
Not only is there no action, there is no such thing as “GOP” and “thinking” when it comes to fighting tooth and nail against the demonkkkraps. They want approval and to be liked by the “gentleman across the aisle” and the media, both who are ripping the GOP to shreds and would kill them if they could. It’s a sickness, I call it political “codependency”.

Why not just let Heals Up Harris be AG, too? She’s already doing Joe’s job - she can take on a few more responsibilities!

Typical, BS. We know your damn game GOPe. When out of power, you make all sorts of brave noises about what you’re going to do. When in power, you do nothing. You can all go to hell.
It is a good idea, but they need more sinecures for the devouring RATs to consume paychecks. But you probably knew that already.
The fix is in. Nothing will come from any investigation into Grandma Killer Cuomo. That is what came from his brief trip to kiss Traitor Joe’s wrinkled butt.
