I agree. Now that is one thing that does make sense. using the planets for the minerals we can utilize. Not for colonization, but for the resources.

There is nothing out there that is not on earth, but there could, and probably is various minerals, gasses, and such, in much abundance.

Now, I always considered in my head, that if they find a planet with huge amounts of gold, would they tell us? Or keep it a secret?

I could you imagine those who invest in, would want it kept a secret. Plus, I could see the governments want to also, since it could crash world economies if all of a sudden gold was as worthless as silver was in Solomon’s day.

Another thought.

Consider the most precious, and expensive minerals on earth. Now imagine finding a planet filled with these. A lot of billionaires would be paupers over night. Time and time again, God shows us how the wisdom of man is foolishness.

We think we are so smart, that we can prove God does not exist by using our resources to locate life on other planets. Just to realize that all we found was treasure troves of precious minerals that are in so abundance that it turns those who worship their wealth and power, into paupers with no power. God is funny in the way He shows men to be fools.

Rhodium ($35,000/kg approx.)

Diamond ($1,400/carat approx.)

Black Opal ($11,400/carat approx.)

Blue Garnet ($1500/carat approx.)

Platinum ($29,900/kg approx.)

Gold ($40,000/kg approx.)

Rubies ($15,000/carat approx.)

Painite ($55,000/carat approx)

Jadeite ($1,000 plus KG)

There is an old Twilight Zone episode where a group of criminals pull of the greatest gold heist in history. Well, one of the men is a scientist who invented a time machine. So they all enter separate pods that puts them into a deep suspended state of sleep without aging in some remote desert cave.

When they awaken decades later, the truck they hid in the cave with them, that they expected to use to carry them and the gold out of the desert, had rusted to pieces over the years. So they had to hike to the nearest town with the gold in backpacks.

As they are hiking in the desert, the water they stored ran out. See, they thought they would be driving so they only stored so much water. In time the heat of the desert and the lack of water made their minds start worrying that the others will kill them for their share. So they begin scheming together against each other. They were going to eliminate the others before they eliminated them.

Long story short now. One man is left with a backpack that is so heavy he starts leaving brick after brick of gold in the desert.

Finally a futuristic comes by, and he offers the people in the car gold for a ride. But he is mad by now, and makes little sense, so they they think he's a crazy nut, so they head down the road.

In the last scene you hear the two talking in the car, "Imagine trying to bribe us with gold. Why that stuff has been useless since they realized they could produce it it for pennies on the dollar.

I often times find myself thinking back to stories that, regardless of the message the writer was intending to share, shows how God makes fools out of men. So when our greed and desires of this World overrides our believe and faith in Him, He always shows us in the end that HE is GOD.

Like Nebuchadnezzar, we will always learn that we are but tiny specs of flesh made from dust. Which is indistinguishable from the dust on a window sill that blows away when the window is opened.

We think a lot alike! I have considered the very real possibility we could find an abundance of precious elements among the asteroids. Many scientist believe the asteroid belt was once a planet which was torn apart in a collision.

There must be all sorts of readily accessible (once we get there) elements floating in space.

” Dr Mohan emigrated from India to the United States when she was just 1 year old. “

Now that is precocious!!! Not only did she achieve a PhD in her first year on the planet, she up and emigrated to another country!
