The U.S. is reviewing whether to place sanctions on companies involved in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in Eastern Europe.
On Tuesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Joe Biden thinks the pipeline, meant to span between Russia and Germany, is a “bad deal for Europe.” She continued, the U.S. is mulling sanctions in an effort to bring the project in line with Europe’s energy goals.

If Germany wants a pipeline from Russia that is their business. If America pulls troops out of Germany to Eastern Europe then that is our business.
And why the hell are the leftists trying to impose financial sanctions on other nations when the Dollar is a fiat currency and America has a runaway deficit? America is economically exposed and payback is a bitch.
Even I get irritated with America when I read crap like this. Can only imagine how Germans feel, especially as they just dealt with green energy blackouts.

That’s a problem for the Europeans. If they want to get in bed with Bad Vlad, go ahead. No kid of mine is going to get involved in a damn war over whose oil pipeline gets to go to Berlin.

You are correct, and President Trump attempted to address this with the Three Seas Initiative to competitively supply Eastern AND Western Europe with an alternative US source of Natural Gas and break Russia’s monopoly.
More green agenda. Kill pipelines here, there, while stopping new drilling. One we right size energy to windmills and solar we can get about right sizing the population to match.
There may be no limit to how much the hate of the Democrats for all things western, Christian and American, will warp their thinking.
There is no necessary connection between burning fossil fuel and emissions of carbon dioxide since we can (1) sequester emissions of carbon dioxide from burning the same at electricity-generating plants and (2) can off-set emissions by growing trees.
It is waa-aa-ay cheaper to sequester or off-set than to shift to wind or solar, especially when you consider that it takes about the same amount of energy to manufacture and install wind and solar farms as they generate during the useful life. The process of buying these things from China hides the cost in two ways: (1) they underpay their works (both in terms of money wages and conditions of work) and (2) they’re effectively exempt from the Paris Agreement.
So, wind and solar is just another payback to China and endorsement, among other things, of the terrible pollution problems of that country and the exploitation of the coal miners and other workers of that country.
But, the Democrats have always been in favor of slave labor, sending out the manhunters, taxing Peter to pay Paul, and in so many other ways, redistributing the wealth from the productive to themselves and to the moochers and looters that vote for them.
As President Joe Dementia says, they have different “cultural norms” in China. There are no universal truths, cetainly not the ones expressed in our Declaration and developed in the European Enlightenment. And, when the Democrats shift around our cultural norms, we’ll be in the same place as the people of China.
Correct. Trump rightly called for competition from other sources. Trump’s arguments were for Europe to never allow Russia to dominate the energy field.

On the other hand, the only "Bad Deal" here is European "Energy Goals".
