Governor Gavin Newsom says a number of key metrics that measure the severity and spread of COVID-19 are trending downward. Newsom tweeted the latest updates today, showing a total of nearly 6,500 new cases statewide. That number was closer to 43,000 about a month ago. He says a double digit statewide positivity rate in early-to-mid-January is closer to 4% today. Hospitalizations and ICU admissions are also falling. The governor says they have administered more than 6-million vaccines to date, but he says, supply has been the largest constraint.

Don’t see where he mentioned the reduction in cases is due to the WHO changing the criteria for a case from one positive test to two positive test plus visible symptoms. My guess is the lower case count is due to the revised criteria.
Did not notice a mention of a decrease in the number of deaths. Although that may also be a flawed comparison. Remember when almost every death was counted?

Duh. They changed the metrics a month ago. If you re-define an infection or a positive, of course the positives will go down. They changed the definitions to make it look like Covid is getting better under Biden. They no longer count every positive test as a new positive. If one person gets 4 positives, that used to be counted as 4 infections, now with the new rules it is 1 infect.
Every rule was made to hurt President Trump. Now the rules have been changed to help POS Biden.
