Watch - eerie baby dolls found nailed to trees on Cannock Chase
The dolls were found at the Ministry Pensions Hospital site
A spooked walker has made a very unsettling discovery while exploring Cannock Chase.
The trekker, who is a theatre practitioner at Walsall Manor Hospital, uncovered an assortment of creepy baby dolls when she was walking over the Chase last Thursday (January 28).
The 64-year-old waded her way through the undergrowth and discovered a clearing where a number of trees stood with the dolls 'nailed' and 'tied' to them.
Speaking to Black Country Live, the mum-of-two said: "I've had to shield for all of the lockdown, but when I was on my walks I looked a bit further and as I dug through the undergrowth I saw these dolls.
"They were in some sort of order. Their dresses were all raggedy and they were all tied and nailed to the trees.
"And as I came out of the woods I saw a sign that said that this was the operating theatre for the old Pensions Hospital. It was just a little bit weird considering what I do for my job.

It is not just in this area. My son said that there are dolls all around northern Alabama.
“The trekker, who is a theatre practitioner at Walsall Manor Hospital, uncovered an assortment of creepy baby dolls when she was walking over the Chase last Thursday...”
So a drama queen found this little bit of morbid “theatre” and I’m sure she had nothing at all to do with staging it herself.
Looks like something my buddies and I would have done when we were kids.
“The trekker, who is a theatre practitioner...”
I thought it said “theater” and she put on shows for the old folks at the hospital. This was her way of promoting the upcoming “Hello Dolly” musical.
Just had a sixth sense they would be there...wading through the undergrowth until she found a clearing?
Does your son have a UK passport? He sounds like a suspect.;-)
There’s a long thread from four years ago about this practice on Reddit. Seems to be a warning to stay out of the area. Here’s one of the comments: “In Washington I was always told to turn around if I see something like dolls hanging from the trees in the middle of the woods. They said it was usually a warning sign for meth labs or other illegal activities. Not sure how much truth there was to that. I never personally saw any, but I’d probably get the **** out of there after seeing something like that.”
Julian Santana Barrera retreated to a remote wooded area in Xochimilco, Mexico city to live out his life as a recluse
He discovered corpse of a young girl - and the toy doll she left behind - floating in a nearby canal when he arrived
Barrera began to hear footsteps in the night and the anguished wails of a woman after he hung the doll from a tree
He continued to hang other toy dolls from the trees in the ‘chinampas’ area to appease her ghost for over 50 years
His family now run the area as tourist attraction where visitors hang other dolls and claim to hear them whispering

That’s how you get Chucky!
“You do that Voodoo that you do so well”
GOOD ONE HELLO DOLLY
After a two-hour canal ride from Mexico City, they arrive at a nightmarish clearing deep in the woods where thousands of mutilated dolls hang from the trees and hide among the dense branches.
They were put there by a reclusive Mexican man who believed they would appease the troubled ghost of a small girl who died there over 50 years ago - and still haunts the woods today.”
Hedy Lamarr?
Have they questioned Telly Savalas?
Ha! My brother would have sent them down a wire into the woods like his GI Joe and my Barbies!
I imagine Tony Podesta would have this kind of art in his home. Oh, and maybe Kommie Harris’ step daughter would like something like this.
